June 1st — the day our Young Adult fiction debut hits bookstores and Targets — is rapidly approaching, and little birdies from around the Internet tell us that pre-orders from Barnes & Noble and Amazon are shipping already, which means that if you order the book today, you’ll get it….soon. GULP. As Jessie Spano would say, “I’m so excited, I’m so excited, I’M SO SCARED.” (Please Google that if you have no idea what I mean; you will be enriched.)
We’re excited to announce two book events in the SoCal area, for those of you in Fug Nation who are local to us. But we are even MORE excited to announce that there will be loot at both events. Remember the cover of our baby?
You may notice it’s all makeup. So we thought it’d be kind of cool to give away some cosmetics, and luckily the folks at O.P.I. Nail Polish agreed with us and donated a ton of bottles out of the goodness of their hearts. So if you pop by for our reading, Q&A, and signing, you’ll leave with more than just a heart full of fug; you’ll also get a bottle of freaking awesome nail polish. O.P.I. was kind enough to let us choose three different colors, because we are indecisive. We picked a pink inspired by the shade spilled across the cover, a blue to match that badass eye-shadow up there in the title, and our favorite O.P.I. stalwart, the shiny red called “I’m Not Really A Waitress,” because in our minds Brooke Berlin, one of our heroines, totally owns like four bottles of that color.
The events will be:
Los Angeles: Sunday, June 5, 2 p.m., Barnes & Noble, Santa Monica Promenade
1201 3rd Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401
(310) 260-9110
Santa Barbara: Tuesday, June 7, 7 p.m., Chaucer’s Bookstore
Loreto Plaza
3321 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93105
(805) 682-6787
NEW ADDITION: Pasadena: Saturday, June 11, 12pm, Vroman’s Bookstore
695 E. Colorado Blvd
Pasadena, CA 91101
Tel: 626-449-5320
Right now, we don’t have anything planned outside of our area, although certainly y’all are welcome to put in requests if you’d like to hang out and talk Spoiled – and whatever else you desire — and we’ll see what we can do. If we are able to work something out in another location, you’ll be the first to know. Well, theoretically, our publishers will be the first to know, and then they will tell us, and then we will tell you. But, you know… as Brooke Berlin would say with a swipe of her hand, details.
Thanks so much for everyone’s support, and we look forward to meeting anyone and everyone who’s able to make it out to either of the Santas Monica and Barbara, and Pasadena! And we really hope you like the book. Make sure you take a look at the dedication.
