If we haven’t seen this exact dress before, then we’ve certainly seen its component parts.
However, after two kids and forty-four years on this Earth, I am deeply impressed and envious that her boobs look that terrific. If it’s genetics, then she won the lottery even more than I had realized; if it’s sorcery, then sign me up for witchcraft classes. Their impresssive anti-gravity qualities and her awesome face and hair are saving what might otherwise be a forgettable enterprise.

Boooorrrrrrinnng.
I think we needed that as an option in the voting.
I love the hair and make-up here. Nice accessories too. They (and she), more than the dress, make this a well-played for me.
The dress is really boring, but the hair/makeup/accessories make up for it, I think.
The dress is FORGETTABLY gorgeous. Very pretty but I as soon I shut my browser, it will be gone.
Yup.
I don’t like boobs on a plate, but she’s not overly chesty, so she’s doing a good job of getting away with it.
Hair, makeup and accessories (earrings!) are winners.
Angelina Jolie did pretty much this same look a while back (strapless black dress, bright green earrings), but with a whole lot more glamour. Naomi Watts looks pretty here, but tame by comparison.
Didn’t Julia Roberts wear this several years ago?
That’s exactly what I thought. It’s the dress Julia Roberts wore when she won an Oscar, except the dress had white straps too.
A little lipstick might have saved this look. The smokey-eye-corpse-pale-lipstick works for some gals, but it doesn’t work for her.
The dres is good, and very flattering to her slight figure, it’d be too much on a voluptuous woman. And it hints that she’s only begun to dress for award season.
Naomi Watts has almost my ideal face. I am not exactly sure what it is, but she’d be up there in my top three of ‘if I could look like anyone else…’
that dress is for a “sex bomb” and Naomi is more refined, soooo she looks pretty, but wasn’t necessary that cleavage….
Naomi is petite, and although she’s gorgeous, it’s a quiet, sweet, unassuming prettiness. She often opts for dresses that are monochromatic, sleek and unfussy and don’t take up a lot of physical space. Black is to heavy for her fair colouring. I wish she would take a leap and be a bit more feminine, less conservative with colour, and allow for a bit of volume (in her skirts, not her sleeves). Then she might be a more impressive contender on the red carpet, instead of a shrinking violet.
On the bright side…she washed her hair for this awards ceremony.
She looks GORGEOUS, but there’s nothing remarkable about the dress! LOVE, WANT & COVET the clutch!
