Daisy Lowe is one of those people who are famous and I have no idea why. I know she’s blah blah blah British model blah blah socialite blah blah Gavin Rossdale’s love child blah blah blah but seriously, I’m pretty sure those facts are taking up a spot in my brain that ought to hold something more important, like obscure quotes from the 1984 TV movie Nadia or the symptoms of lyme disease. ANYWAY, here she is:
I feel like this is one of those outfits that toes the line between sexy and slatternly, and not in the good slatternly way, in the “shedding cigarette ash onto a twelve year old Lanz flannel nightgown while you stand on the porch smoking and looking for your lost beer cozy” way. And, as far as I’m concerned, a toe on that slatternly is a toe too far. Can it be fixed? I believe in you, dear readers, so have at it:

This actually doesn’t look too hard to fix. Get rid of whatever is going on with the side of that waistline, sew the slit up just a few inches, and pull back the hair. Heck, just doing two of those would probably be sufficient to remove the “toe” so to speak.
It can be fixed by her not wearing it. Ever again.
It can be worn just the way it is, as her costume for her breakout role as Ms. Hannigan in the modern version of Annie.
Just add the fabric back in on the sides!
This is beyond hope. Maybe she and it should both return to the obscurity which they clearly so richly deserve.
She just needs to choose between the slit up to her See You Next Tuesday or the exposed side and hip. It is a fairly boring dress for one that exposes so much.
I don’t have much to say about the dress (except “no” and “she looks a little like Shannen Doherty’s strung-out cousin”), but I do need to tell you that Nadia is one of my favorite movies of all time. I used to watch it every week as a kid, and a soiled VHS copy has made it through umpteen moves and still hides somewhere in my apartment. *Never* have I seen the movie mentioned in public before today. So now I love you ladies even more. Mwah.

Make the slit not so high up on her thigh,
Widen the straps,
Either make the chest area more fitted or more evenly draped,

Am I crazy or does it look like they aren’t just super high heels, but that she’s actually standing on her tiptoes?
I have to disagree with the general sentiment here and say I actually, for some unfathomable reason, really like Daisy Lowe and think she’s generally very pretty.
I think that, yes, fixing the side holes and sowing up the slit a few inches would make this okay. I also think raising the belt a little bit, to make this empire waisted, and maybe choosing a fun color or pattern for the belt, rather than basic black, would make this prettier.
Meanwhile, I’m loving the necklace, so I think a glamorous up-do would be much more suitable.
Slatternly- that is spot on.
From the top, I’d comb her hair back into one long sleek pony tail and turn her make-up waaay down. That slutty necklace would have to go and she needs a support bra to float the bustline. The waist is too tight and should be let out an inch or so. I can see her panties so she’ll need to wear a pair that won’t show. The dress slit is too high for stockings so a color/glimmer moisturizer should be worn on the legs. I don’t like the sloppy hem on this dress- that I’d redo. Add a gorgeous pair of strappy sandals to a lady-like pedicure and she’d look like an angel!

Change lipstick for something a little more subtle (not difficult, to be sure) and apply some hair product or products – she’s got a case of the dry air frizzies something fierce.

I’d start by handing her a hairbrush and a washcloth. Then I’d take away her Forever 21 credit card. Somehow this manages to make her look both slutty and stumpy. Close up the holes, stitch the slit up a couple of inches, rip off the boob-ruffles and narrow the straps. Change the fabric into something with better drape and flame resistance. For starters.

While fixing if I only had a magic wand (and brain), I would make the material stop appearing as possibly ironed rayon and make the lips look less like she just sucked on 47 consecutive blood oranges. I think a cooler and deeper red would look better on her.

The combination is not flattering. The fact that she appears to be posing her lower body while slouching her upper body does not help the situation. Clean up the neck-line, fill in the holes, sew up the here-to-france slit and shorten the dress considerably. Voila! Cute, young dress! The hair needs some serious work.

I actually really like the red lippy, as a brunette it really works.
I think with a bit of love from a tailor this dress would work – the side-hole thing fixed and the slit sewn up a few inches. I think that the fit of the bodice is a bit skewed and possibly too big? A few darts would have done wonders. Just because you’re blessed with the hotness gene doesn’t preclude you from getting clothes that fit!
Put the side of the dress back together and lower the slit in the side a tad. Add a tad of sparkle to the shoes.

At first, I thought ‘gawd, burn it and go back to bed.’ But then I began to see possibilities. Fug Nation is right, the lips are just too railroad-lantern, tone them down. Brush her hair, give her an up-do, a soft sexy one, and as mentioned, put some quiet gold brocading on the belt. Now girlfriend has got some fabulous lonnnng thighs, so after you cover the side cutouts, and sew up the slit, raise the hem about 5-6 inches. And puh-leeze give her some sleeker, finer shoes. What a beautiful girl, and the first thing this dress did make me notice was that she has a terrific figure. I don’t mind the slit, but if you slit that high then everything else needs to be a bit understated. Lose the hip, lose the ruffles, get your hair out of your pretty face.
You don’t have to show all your body parts at once…there will be other events. Keep your hip for later.

Problems with shutting down Ubuntu 10.04
Ubuntu 10.04 desktop installed on the laptop.
The site ubuntu says that the desktop is suitable for desktops and laptops.
When you turn off your laptop, there is as it should be intro ubuntu, and five small white circles. Three of them are red (an indicator), and two are white.
But all are supposed to be red. We had a simple button (which is on the keyboard, the physical button) off new laptop.
