At least it’s a color?
But it’s also a wrist corsage, a gangly teen boy, and an ill-fitting tux away from being a souvenir Prom photo.

Really? I’d like to look that bad any day.
Yeah…the hip flounce is a bit odd, but I love the colour.
I love the color so much I don’t notice the hip flounce!
yeah me too.
No, no, no, that’s not Prom. That’s Pageant.
If it’s Prom then it’s a Prom where there is no sweaty groping and virginity losing. Far too much fabric for that.
But I love it.
That dress is fabulous and she’s wearing the HELL out of it.
I agree. She’s so pretty and happy, and that colour sizzles happiness as well, so WIN!
I think her lovely non-vapid-blonde colouring helps steer away from the pageant problem – on January Jones this would have a whole different flavour.
I have to disagree. That dress fits her beautifully and that colour is fan-f**king-tastic.
That much dress needs a gigantic sparkly necklace to balance it out. I could wish for less fabric but the color is to die for.
The dress is more Disney princess than prom. I think the prom vibe comes from the brunette-Barbie hair. And yes, smaller earrings and a necklace were in order. Other than that she looks very beautiful in that dress/ color.
Archie looks gorgeous in that dress.
I love it. I think she looks terrific.
Not prom, perhaps bridesmaid. However, a bridesmaid dress I wouldn’t mind wearing, if the bride picked that one out. The color is amazing, and even better, she looks beautiful in it. Archie herself transcends any edging over the bridesmaid line that the dress does, and I think she looked quite regal, and stunning.
I had to go back and look at the photo again to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.
This dress is absolutely gorgeous, and she looks absolutely gorgeous in it. Should have been a “Well-Played”, IMO.
I like it!
Agreeing with everyone else that this is lovely, and so is Panjabi.
I love it. For me the thing that distinguishes it from “prom” is how luxurious and expensive it looks. The fabric – both in color and texture – look so rich. Gorgeous!
Exactly right. It does indeed look luxurious and expensive. It looks like couture, doesn’t evoke high school whatsoever.
Yes! It doesn’t even look pageant-y, either, to me. It’s just too well made, and the fabric is too good.
That makes all the difference in the world.
I think she looks simply smashing.
How is this fugly? It’s well tailored and fits nicely
I rather like this too. What a great color!
There was so much color at this year’s Emmy’s!
YAAAAY FOR COLOR!!!!

I rarely disagree with y’all, but this dress is 100 different kinds of fabulousness and she looks mahvelous in this deep, sea blue with the red carpet. I like her hair and her jewelry, too. Also not sure I get why you called it ill-fitting – I think it fits her rather well.
Your proms must have been different than mine. We sewed our own formals in Home Ec. This seems more Pageant, or Barbie Princess Costume.
A pageant feel for sure, but she looks so great in it it simply doesn’t matter.
She is so gorgeous. I would hate her, except I have a huge, huge crush on her. There’s just a little too much happening on the bottom half of this dress, but she looks so amazing in the color and it fits her so well, so I think it’s a win anyway.
