I don’t mean to be all, “when we saw this in person” with every post, but it’s kind of interesting what you noticed in person, and what really pops out in photos. When I saw Zosia here, the first thing I saw was her VPL.
Well, not TECHNICALLY VPL. More like…Visible Spanx Line, or VSL. You can tell in the picture that this doesn’t fit Zosia so well — which is a shame, because she seems charming in interviews, and if there is one thing we don’t wish upon the charming here at GFY HQ, it’s VSL. Other things we don’t wish upon the charming: weird knee vents, paper towel bunny ears pasted to one’s breasts, and overly severe hair and makeup. Someone has SO gone against our wishes.

What ho! The lace from Glenn Close’s stabby dress has infected her knees! If the bodice was plain and not bunny ears, the interesting twisted lace turning into cap sleeves would be the highlight. But from the neck up, Freida Pinto at an Amish funeral.
Please don’t take this as creepy-stalkery, but I love it when people use “What ho!” in comments. I imagine everyone running after her to scrutinize her knees, in a very Python-esque way, of course.

It looks like the Emmy angel is pounding a straw into her left knee. You know your dress is bad when that actually seems to make sense within the overall design.
I thought she was Sarah Silverman. Plus, wasn’t she wearing this with Converse or something similar?
Oh my goodness! This is more unattractive than the previous gown. What IS this anyway? It looks like pieces of it were thrown at her.
The dress makes the poor kid look like she forgot her bra and stuffed two coffee filters down the front to compensate.

This gown is just weird, especially the knee windows. Her oh-so severe hairstyle doesn’t help matters either.
i think she is my favorite girl on girls and seems to have way more life to her than this awful combo suggests. come on zosia, you have an awesome name and play cracked out like a champ – dress better!
It’s nice to know – that in a that-time-of-the-month emergency – Zosia’s got you covered not one but two maxi pads tucked in her shirt.
This is one of those things that makes no sense to me in that it exists at all.
I mean, how did this even get made? Were four designers who couldn’t agree all working together, and finally did some crack and decided to just put all their ideas together in one dress?
Mamet is such a wonderful actress, and she seems like such a very cool person, as well… I’d like to see her get it right just once! She deserves to look great!
There is one thing I can say for it. It isn’t boring.
But we all knew she wears Spanx, right? Her best scene in Girls all season, hands down, from the episode where Shoshanna accidentally smokes crack.
