   This whole thing was…sort of surreal for me? I guess I’d kind of forgotten that for lots of people, various degrees of head-shaving and/or tattooed, piercings, etc, aren’t just normal(ly awesome)? Like, most of my friends aren’t sporting any of these things, but they’re mingled among people who are, and…nobody really blinks either way?

   I’m not offended or anything! It was just SO WEIRD for me to see that described as crazy that I felt like I had to…say why? I don’t know? I don’t know what’s happening in my brain anymore, time for a GFY-approved sandwich.

   The partially shaved head thing is kind of in right now, and honestly? I dig it. I’m working up the nerve to do it myself someday, as well as a female faux-hawk.

   The hair is very Alternative ’80′s. There was a girl in college who wore this hair for four years. All of her clothes were black, but none of them were as cute as this dress. I think it trends a little young for The Sev, but it is orders of magnitude better than her usual.

     Agreed. I was about to post that her hair looks like 1985 for me. A girl at my very proper private school was severely reprimanded for having the audacity to wear her hair like that in the eighth grade.

    That’s my friend’s 1985 mohawk with a twist- she had longish hair and both sides shaved so that she could appease her parents by leaving it down for family events. It looked weird down but somehow normal enough that her parents weren’t hyperventilating.

    That’s not really shaved, you know, not stubbly like Cyruses’. It’s just very short over there. But if that is what it takes to get rid of the Prince Valiant helmet hair she usually sports, chunk by chunk, I’m all for it.

    half-shaved head = halfway pulling it off.

    At least she’s not wearing a mullet dress with it, in which case I would be experiencing inner-ear imbalance and start walking on the ceiling. Or dancing. With Lionel Ritchie. Or Nicole.

    7E is super super sexy, nonetheless, but in a “Boys Don’t Cry” way.

    It IS very ’80s, and on seeing this, I instantly think that is a look that has just been waiting for Sevigny to get to it. This really works with her unusual, angular face. I give the whole thing a big thumbs up.

    Also loving that the darling Lyonne was her date.

    All I could see when I saw the side of her head was Cillian Murphy when he woke up in the hospital in 28 Days Later after having emergency brain surgery. And I was a teenager in the 80s.

    Chloe has some amazingly square shoulders. Makes her look so confident. I think she’s pulling this off quite well.
