Emmy Awards Fug or Fab Carpet: Kate Walsh

So, this dress on Kate Walsh photographed better than I thought it would:

I actually kind of like it here, but when we were watching the broadcast, there was a lot of, “OH HONEY NO,” and this is why:

What looks glamorous and Grecian from the front/statis looks sort of…messy and unflattering from the side/in movement. (I may have originally used the word “dumpy” there, but it seemed too mean.) From the side, I feel like this dress has a distinct Eau de Droopy Toilet Paper Bride, and surely that’s not what Kate here intended. I mean, when you’re embroiled in a super messy and contentious divorce, don’t you want to look SUPER HOT all the time, just to sort of stick it to the Ex, if nothing else? I’m just saying.
