We’ve thrown a lot of Emmy attendees at you in the past few days, and we know you must have thoughts about which one of them shone the brightest, and which one lagged in the deepest depths of tragic fuggery. That’s why God invented polls.
Your task is to vote on which person — out of the people we’ve featured on the site; anything else requires a complete guest list, and we don’t have that — turned it out the best at the Emmys last weekend. The above slideshow is for your handy-dandy reference, and the polls will be after the jump. We’ll announce the results on Tuesday, so feel free to vote it up on the long Labor Day weekend, too, if you feel that strongly about it.

Glad to see that I am not the only one who thought Jenna Fischer looked lovely, in spite of the merciless fugging she got from the esteemed proprietors of this site.
Some of the links are a little screwy, Judd Apatow took me to Jennifer Carpenter and Jennifer Carpenter took me to Connie Britton.
The Jenna Fischer link took me to Jayma Mayes. But very much agreed on Jenna. She wasn’t my top pick, but I thought she looked beautiful.
It was this huge tie between Claire Danes, Eva Amurri, Connie Britton, and Jennifer Carpenter. I guess I like sparkly things. Claire won out in the end.
I voted for Padma for worst dressed. I can’t handle that dyed to match shoes and a matronly slit in the skirt. At least Rita took a dare.
Mindy Kaling and the Hills girls should thank Rita Wilson for showing up in that hideous dress and shoes.
It was a tough call for worst between Ty Burrell’s wife and the Vagina Monologue/loofah dress and Rita Wilson’s lamp shade mess. But I ended up going with Rita Wilson, who is far more famous and wealthy and should have stylists available as far as the eye could see.
You need to do a Heather Morris vs Claire Danes side by side, because those two are dominating and basically wore the same dress. It isn’t fair because Heather’s version is more interesting and looks better with her skin tone, but nobody knows who she is. Clair is winning for being more famous.
I wanted to vote for Sofia Vergara, but she’s not listed, what gives?
LOVED Claire Danes’s look, and Rita Wilson’s scared me, glad to see I’m in good company, Fug Nation.
I had to give a shout out to Keri Russell on best dressed. The color was gorgeous and she looked fresh and beautiful. I voted for it because I remembered it, and in a good way, not like the chandelier shoes…
Hells yeah! Claire Danes looked amazing, and Rita Wilson was a fright.
Man, I’m still bummed that there was no discussion of Kim looking downright heavenly in that white Marchesa.
Best dressed: I went with Jennifer Carpenter, because she pulled off a one-sleever and it fit her like a glove, so much so that I would love that dressed. The only two others than came close were Claire Danes and Heather Morris, but their dresses were a safe bet in many ways.
Worst dressed: It’s easy to fall into the “oh, HEIDI” and “oh, RITA” traps, but the first has to do with Heidi Klum being pretty tasteless in her personal style, and Rita Wilson making a mistake, but honestly, who cares about what Rita Wilson wears? No, I chose Lauren Graham, because really, she should know better.
“Bonnie” Britton? She might be doing better in the polls if her name was correct!
I love the MST3K shout out! (Though I always liked Mike better.)
Where is Jane Lynch!? She was AWESOME.
Where is Kim Kardashian in your coverage?!?! I thought she was the best-dressed!! Claire Danes was beautiful and got my vote, but only because Kim was not even featured here & I could not vote for her. BOO-HOO!
I also think KK deserves credit (kredit?) for dressing her curvy body very well. Christina Hendricks should take some notes.
Not on your list, but I thought Betsy Brandt was the best dressed at the event. Gorgeous scarlet gown.
I struggled to choose between Claire Danes, Jennifer Carpenter and Heather Morris, but in the end went for JC as I prefer the colour – I’m not that keen on gold. But all three looked fab.
Oh man, I know the original post included the disclaimer “regardless of how you feel about Claire Danes” but I…I just can’t. JC looks absolutely gorg, not to mention Mr. Jennifer Carpenter was looking very sharp (and healthy!), but the sleeve is just too much material for me. Like magician’s assistant, needs to hide a bunny up there too much. And so the win, for me, was Heather Morris. Though after voting for her I realized Maura Tierney was an option and I wanted to change my vote, but I guess you can’t always get what you want.
And I voted for Mindy, cause that just killed me. And because Kelly Osbourne swore to me on ‘Fashion Police’ that she could make Rita’s shoes cool. I’m still waiting…
@Cecily, this fugger is right there with ya.
Claire, best look yet.
Rita, very scary.
I loved January Jones’ dress. I think it suited her well and the colour was perfect for her. I can’t believe people hate it so much. I almost wish I could change my vote to have her as one of the “best dressed” it was bold and I loved it.
@Felicia, what part did you like best? The foil-cone boobs or her undone hair? Yuck.
There is simply no excuse for Rita Wilson’s dress. Period. I almost didn’t vote for her, however, because I felt somewhat used – like she intentionally put on the most god-awful concoction (and shoes to match) simply to get our attention. If that is the case, I certainly don’t want to buy into her little game, but then again, that fiasco was so hideous that I simply could not vote for anyone else. Used or not.
Well Jennifer Carpenter and Nina Dobrev were a neck and neck for me -I just didn’t love the color on Claire Danes. But Jennifer just wore the heck out of that dress. I’m bummed her link isn’t working.
I had to vote for Heidi.
When you wear a dress it is both the dress and how you wear it that counts for or against you and Heidi just wore that dress horribly AND it was not appropriate for the occasion. Rita Wilson looked nice except for the one thing. Heidi needing more here and here and less there and there.
I thought Claire Danes and Moira Tierney looked the best. They aren’t necessarily “gorgeous” starlet types; they are individual and striking..and seemingly comfortable with their appearance. They really didn’t seem like they were forcing their beauty. Also, quite tasteful choices.
I felt Ty Burrell’s tux choice was simply hideous. I have no words to describe his wife’s dress. Ty is gorgeous and before the program aired, I was anticipating him, easily carrying off a classic, black tuxedo. Man, I was sorely disappointed.
WHY do I hate Claire Danes so much? (I don’t know why, I just do.) So since her dress and Heather Morris’ are the same, vote for Heather! She looks cute and happy and I think the black belt really gives the dress a snap and makes it more current. And, like the Fug Girls said, she’s a great dancer!
Oops…misspelled Ms. Tierney’s first name. She looked gorgeous, regardless of my sloppy notice to the spelling of her name. Chili pepper red was a bold and beautiful choice.
Hello? Maura Tierney? Anyone? I thought she looked gorgeous.
Ang- If you need a reason to hate Claire Danes I find the fact that she stole Mary Louise Parker’s husband when Mary was 6 months pregnant a pretty good reason.
I vote for Diane Argh-I-cant-spell. Aka Quinn from Glee! Sooo pretty and different.
Worst I say Heidi, yeah Rita looked stupid but at least she looked age appropriate and not over-exposed
Fuggers … my dears …
Any dress, of any description, is a better argument for one’s humanity and sense of style than showing up BAREFOOT. At the EMMYS.
Man Fugs are not in a different category — not when they have to do with something so basic a person could not enter a fast-food restaurant without it.
FOOTWEAR, Mr. Jane. Look into it.

Alan Cumming for the win! Ascot and pirate slippers!!!
Oh, right, not on the list…
I still don’t understand why the Fug Girls didn’t like Jenna Fischer’s dress…she looked so amazing!! I voted for her as best-dressed, but Connie Britton gave her a run for her money. Claire Danes’ dress was pretty and fit well, but the color was not a good choice for her.
I had a Glee shutout. Heather Morris for best and Naya Rivera for worst.
Joel rules.
As does January’s dress.
Yeah, where exactly was Alan Cumming on that poll? I would have voted him best dressed.
You have her name down as Bonnie Britton in the best dressed… should be Connie.
My vote went to Connie Britton for best dressed. She looked stunning, even if she didn’t get any TV coverage at the Emmys!
Worst dressed was hands down Rita Wilson… The lamp shade… the shoes… My EYES!
Can’t believe people liked Claire Danes that much, I felt like I’d seen it at least three times before at the Oscars. Not an original choice.
And I’ll disagree on another thing – I thought Rita Wilson looked age-appropriate and the sparkly over-dress thing was a nice way to draw attention away from that clingy, probably unflattering, underneath dress. I just hated the shoes!!!
I voted Jennifer Carpenter – I think with an angular, athletic frame like hers, a dress like that looks stunning! Anyone even slightly rounder would have been overwhelmed by it.
Worst? Nothing to do with the actual dress, but I thought Heidi Klum’s dress was entirely inappropriate for the event.
There were far more badly dressed people than those that nailed it and sequins reigned supreme on my “best” list: Kristin Bauer, Claire Danes, Heather Morris.
The bad and the ugly: I voted for Ty Burell and wife just because they were both horribly dressed. They would have been bad on their own or together, so they got a triple no vote. Mindy Kaling, Lauren Graham and Anna Pacquin got big no’s, too.
And did someone tell Heidi Klum she was “safe”?
Ah, the GoFug-community really does like them some sparkly, shiny, golden dresses.
The last two Best Dressed were won by Anne Hathaway (Met Gala) and Cameron Diaz (Oscars) and this one seems like Claire Danes has it in the bag. What did all three have in common: Sparkly, Shiny and Golden. Come on, girls, broaden your horizon!
For something like the Emmys, I really am about the sparkle. It came down to Jennifer Carpenter, Clare Danes, and Susan Sarandon for me. I went with Ms. Sarandon because I think it’s more of a feat to look that fabulous at her age.
Ty Burrell’s wife was the fugliest, but I don’t think she counts as an actual celeb. Rita Wilson was look cheap and tacky in that mall/stripper store ensemble. Still, Dianna Agron’s pink, sheer, ruffle, lace monstrosity offended my style sensibilities most.
i actually liked lauren graham’s dress. maybe not for this event but, i thought it was an ode to old hollywood. there just weren’t enough sparkles of shine for the emmy’s.
What? No option for Kelly Osborne? I wanted to vote her Best Dressed. Girlfriend has lost some weight and looks FANTASTIC. Her slimming black dress was kooky awesome.
BEST:
Claire Danes
HONORABLE MENTIONS FOR BEST:
Jennifer Carpenter, Susan Sarandon
WORST:
Michelle Trachtenberg
[Dis]HONORABLE MENTIONS FOR WORST:
Judd Apatow, Ty Burrell & Wife (especially, the wife)
NOT REALLY SO FUG:
Naya Rivera
[I loved the drama of Naya's dress, and she wore the hell out of it!]
WELL PLAYED? REALLY???:
Connie Britton
[Connie's formless blue sequined number reminded me of the glittery sack used in a magic act -- you know, the one the magician puts on the floor for his lovely assistant to step into before it is raised and then lowered as she disappears before our very eyes]
due to some kind of glitch i got to vote for christina hendricks {three times} & tina fey {twice}. i was going to add a vote for elizabeth moss but it stopped allowing me to do so; i suppose if i cleared my cache i could vote in perpetuity–but that would feel too much like cheating. this way i sort of did some kindly {ballot} box stuffing. i just wish i were a quicker draw for eliz. moss.
nobody looked worse than stephanie pratt, whose whole ouvre, shall we say, was inappropriate. i didnt wanna click rita wilson, even for the worst prada shoes ever either made or, possibly, imaginable. tho i must say some risky roads are better off entirely avoided. still, when you marry tom hanks, taking sartorial risks may seem like the only way.

What? No option for Kelly Osborne?::
ps. you are right. had i been able to vote a seventh time {after i wasnt able to vote for e.moss}, she wouldve got that vote. were she available to get it.
pss. time to go to sleep, recovering from today’s dental surgery, very looped, have a happy.
Claire Danes juuust pulled it out for best-dressed, IMHO. The more I looked at her, the better I liked her whole look. Still not entirely sure of her hair color, but the dress was amazing and she looked lovely.
I agonized over worst-dressed, though. Would the wackitude of Rita Wilson or January Jones carry the day? Would SPratt’s lack of pants be her undoing? Could Lauren Graham’s (fierce!) shoes pull her dress and hair back from the pit? Oh, the decisions!
Then I decided to look up Lo Bosworth, as I had no clue who she was, and discovered that her utterly unflattering hair, makeup and dress managed to make a 24-year-old look like a 40-year-old Southern Baptist preacher’s wife. Had she been wearing a floral-print jacket, oversized jewelry and closed-toed shoes, she’d have been a ringer for one. That decided it for me.
Love Dianne Argron (or whatever). Her dress and makeup were different and outstanding. And she seemed nice, polish and pretty, great for a day summer event.
noo! i mistakenly voted for thomas jane for best dressed when he’s my worst dressed :/ i was still undecided among claire danes, jennifer carpenter (shinies!!) and diana agron… :/
Why not 24 Autohits Traffic Exchange Auto Manual surf – Paid to surf
I am amazed people thought Heather Morris’ dress was anything like Clarie Danes’. Other than being sparkly and being super pretty, the dresses were not even remotely similar. Claire got my vote. Whose boyfriend (Cruddup was not married to Mary Louise Parker) she runs off with is between the players. Questionable sex partners aside, hers was a great dress. Side note: Claire did not thank husband Hugh Dancy in her speech. Wondering if he will be back on the market soon (ala Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe.) Hugh, I am available if you need to be stolen!
So many of the links are wrong!
Where is Mariska Hargitay? I thought she was one of the best dressed, but you haven’t mentioned her anywhere.
Thank the Lord that Judd Apatow’s link took me to Jennifer Carpenter. I was all set to vote for Heather Morris but I was taken by how appropriately glamorous Ms Carpenter looked with asymmetry. I’ll normally not a fan.
Judd was to get my vote for fug but I took his to be couldn’t be bothered so went for Ty Burrel and wife who could be bothered but oh so tragically bothered.
@kyasarin: just read your post. Lo Bosworth is only 24? She does look 40. 44 actually.
I really don’t like her because of the whole cheating with Billy Crudup on Mary Louise Parker when she was 8 months preganant thing, but Claire Danes really hit it out of the park with that dress. Not sure about the hair though.
Just goes to show how much I’m interested in what people do in their private lives… I voted for Claire Danes because I think her dress was the best on the red carpet and it went well with her skin tone, figure and hair. She oozed glamour but at the same time I can see her kicking off her shoes and dancing in a fountain holding a bottle of champagne!
The worst dress… it was a toss up between Heidi Klum and Stephanie Pratt. Heidi should really know better but she’s been so predictable in her dress choices lately (inappropriately short) so I had to go with Stephanie Pratt, who looked indeed simple and cheap in that thing she wore.
Where was Kelly Osbourne? She looked amazing (Pussycat Dolls hat notwithstanding).
I always thought it was kind of cheating to dress like a trophy at an awards ceremony, so no enabling votes for gold sparklies from me, no sir!
Personally I couldn’t go past the sort of 40s-melodrama triumphant dewiness of Elisabeth Moss – so, so pleasing.
Conversely, I just wept, wept, wept at Christina Hendricks being mugged by her own boobs (AGAIN) in that nasty floozy frou-frou mauve number. Sigh.
Whay has no one commented on Claire Danes face????
She looks like she has been messing with cheek implants, eye lifts, you name it….!
Um, how did you possibly miss Gugu Mbatha-Raw?

WINNER.
I can not believe this blog. How not to put Mariska Hargitay. The woman was gorgeous. A goddess. Mariska is always chic and elegant. She never misses and it was no different in that Emmy.

The beauty of these blogging engines and CMS platforms is the lack of limitations and ease of manipulation that permits developers to implement rich content material and ‘skin’ the site in such a way that with very little effort 1 would never notice what it’s making the site tick all without limiting written content material and effectiveness.
Thank you for keeping us updated. I really appreciate it and find all of the info really useful.
So much interesting contents here! You can go to see promotional gifts ,just have a look, right now.
I assumed it was likely being some unexciting old report, nevertheless it definitely compensated for my time. I most unquestionably will post a link to this article on my web page. I am convinced my visitors are planning to find that realistically helpful.

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it’s a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.
