I like to think that Emma is just carrying her giant cardboard Logan Lerman stand-up everywhere.

cheerocracy…kikikiki
(P.S. I like both outfits)
The ethereal isn’t bad. She pulls it off with the bold lip and hair, I think. But the other is definitely way better. She’s too cute for words.
The second dress is definitely my favorite of the two, but far. Her hair seems far too severe with the first dress, tho I do love the bold red lip.
I mostly wrote in to celebrate “cheerocracy!” but agreed that she really does do whackadoo elegant better than anyone. Dress no. 2! She’s always beautiful, but she’s best showcased in the bold tailored little numbers she mostly favors.
I’m glad you omitted any photos of her wardrobe malfunction in that wan, ethereal number. Another reason to hate an ill-fitting halter.
The second outfit is fabulous on her. She wears color so well. I don’t even hate the peplum.
ack – yes! i saw that elsewhere and thought “thank god emma watson is at least classy enough for pasties”
seriously, though, she and dress number 2 were made for each other. she’s so adorable.
The second look is waaaaay better, in every. single. respect. The first look (dress, hair, makeup) does not suit her at all. The cut of the dress is massively unflattering. I’m someone that deeply appreciates good bone structure of the shoulders, but that dress made her look bulky because it really emphasized her trapezius muscles. And then it just fell into this shapeless swath of apathy. And that non-color just lies there, like a dead thing.
I think slicked back hair works only on a small minority of women (and I think those women are usually–though not exclusively–intense brunettes).
The floral pattern of the second dress seems a bit… on the nose for a party for the Perks of Being a Wallflower, but she looks great in it, and her makeup is better than in the first look.
I’m not a fan of the first look: dress OR hair. I’m just not a fan of pale, floaty dresses, I guess. I’m really not a fan of slicked back hair. Very, very few people can pull it off. I don’t think Emma here is one of them. Which is actually a great service to the rest of us: if you ever look in the mirror and think, “I want to slick back my hair”, remind yourself that even Emma Watson can’t pull it off and go about your normal routine.
I love the 2nd look on her. She’s beautiful. The dress is beautiful. The end.
The first look is so not her that I’m not entirely convinced it is her. It’s like one of those magazine covers where they make the cover starlet look nothing like herself. Only with bad hair instead of photoshop.
Her lovely pale skin needs a bold color to accent it, not a snooze color to blend into it. Also, the first dress might be what you do with the antique lace table cloth after somebody spills a pot of tea all over it.
I am not crazy about the second dress… wan is the perfect word to describe how it makes her look. Also I am definitely not fond of the severe hair with the floaty dress.
The THIRD ONE THOUGH. My lord. I love it so much, right down to the juuuuuust not quite hot pink lipstick. It’s so cute and kicky and weird and interesting, just like my darling Emma.
There are only two dresses. The first two photos are of her in the same dress.
Touchez. I couldn’t see it as well in the first slide so I pretended it didn’t exist.
I meant third as in third slide
Ha! I wish that first dress didn’t exist, period.
I intensely dislike her hair, eyebrows, makeup, and especially the harsh lipsticks. She doesn’t need anything like that. The oatmeal dress is too revealing. Tie that sucker up around her neck like a halter, and then lower the waist ties, and them she can go out in public like a young lady. I like the laser print of the fabric, but not on colorless beige. This would have been a time for optical orange, or sapphire.
The second is peplum, therefore icky, even on Hermy here.
Heh. Did Emma Watson ever meet a peplum she didn’t love? I feel like she’s always wearing them; as a rule, I hate them, but I tolerate it here because it’s such a vast improvement as compared to the nude dress.
I DO love her face – did the casting directors for HP get it right, or what? So, I absolutely love the 1st dress and her make-up and styling. The second one is adorable, but is not as memorable.
You are being a cheer-tator, Jessica, and a pain in my ass!
(I mean, not really. Love the second one, but the first one is too drab.
much love for the cheerocracy ref
Photo 2: At least that dress has a lining. You KNOW that there are slactresses out there who would have ripped that sucker right out! (And I think the edgy hair and makeup save the dress from being too bland.)
Alas, she had a nip slip in that first dress in one of the pictures. Fortunately, she was wearing nip covers, and that’s mostly what was revealed. So, first dress? Not good. Shapeless, mainly, and nip slip. Second dress? Adorable.
I lover her expression and playfulness in the first photo. She usually looks so composed at mature. It’s nice to see her act like a 22 year old.
Dear Vicky Beckham – picture 2 is what you’d look like if you smiled once in a while. Try it, it’s super-cute! Love from The World x
I actually like both dresses, but LOVE the blue. Really pretty. Also, unlike other people commenting here, I think she can carry slicked back hair quite well.
I wonder whose filthy hand is on her’s on the cut-out though. Enlarge the pictures and those dirty fingernails jump out at you
I thought it was a cutout of a young kd Lang.
