It’s funny how some of my votes so far have been affectionate, as in, “Oh ha ha J-Lo, you’re so silly. You’re sexy just in normal clothes, you don’t need to be in some weird see through…thing. I shall vote for you because you’re ridiculous.” And then others who have won my vote have been contemptuous, such as when I saw that Lily nightmare and I was like “OH GOD that just burned a hole in my eyes! hmmm, i seem to have bucked the trend on every single vote this morning. But….JLo’s outfits at least look well made and they fit, they are “theatrical”. Vampire girl just looks cheap, ill-clad and cheesey. Milla Jovovich should just know better and the hotpants outfit was horrendous. Lily Allen is just out for effect. Black + tight + sheer = sexy…yup. I DID look at the archives for Dita vs Aubrey and at least Aubrey looked like she tried. Misguided, yes. But at least there is a semblance, a shred of hope if you tuck her boobs in. Dita is hopeless. Pure, unfixable bad taste. And lastly, my thoughts about Solange and that other girl are along the same lines as Aubrey and Dita. Solange bought some cute things and messed them up. solange vs shanae was tough. i couldn’t decide if shanae’s stint on degrassi-the new class was a positive or a negative in her column. in the end i chose shanae, cause at least solange has interesting shoes. and though she has been felicity-ied i like her short do. anything that ejects relaxer from your life and reclaims millions of lost salon hours is to be celebrated.

I think I feel a little bad that she’s a Fug Madness winner (one of only two!) and yet she doesn’t have the high profile and iconic status of a Sharon Stone or a Chloë Sevigny or a J.Lo.
