Gisele’s ankle is so skinny in that shoe! There’s inches of room left in there…it looks skeletal! Yuck.

But I LOVE LOVE LOVE those Union Jack shoes. LOVE THEM.

If you can see the lining inside the sandal, it’s too big for you. Tighten your ankle straps, ladies!

It’s kind of nice to be reminded that toes are pretty universally weird-looking, even those of models/famous people. In particular, I take great comfort in how malformed Gisele’s look in #3.

I was just thinking the same thing! Now I can go around telling people that my toes are less funky than Giselle’s. Not that I would, but I could.

However, did you notice how relaxed Victoria Justice’s foot looked? I feel like that’s a really weird observation, but I just couldn’t help but think that my foot would look all veiny and angry if I was walking around in those shoes, and her foot looks like it’s sitting in the warm clutches of an Ugg houseslipper.

But # 3 is not Gisele, this is Anja Rubik’s foot! I’m pretty sure :o )

A sift through the Charlotte Olympia site does seem to show that the shoes have spiderwebs on them.

That is the extent of my Google-Fu today. If someone else knows why, I’d be interested to hear. (A “Charlotte’s Web” reference, maybe?)

All I know is I have to get to my pool early now for rehab, because the kids are out of school and taking over the quiet adult time in the afternoon. 2 hours in the pool + fewer hours of sleep = sleepy Chasmosaur…

i don’t know for sure, but that was my immediate thought on seeing that golden web and the name charlotte together. if that’s her logo, and the reason behind it, i heartily approve!

RE: The last pair of shoes.

There was a bit of a controversy in the UK because the Mayor of Warwick wore a similar pair to a military parade and military traditions state the Union Jack should never touch the ground. People were calling for her to resign.

Although it all blew over because no one really minded that much and the Olympic Torch Relay took over the headlines.

On a different note – as someone who will probably never be allowed to wear heels again?

You ladies appear to have designers throwing cool-ass shoes at you. GET THEM TO FIT.

Back to power-napping with my Bulldog and Aliens….

Whole lotta ugly, foot-deforming shoes here. I can’t imagine the foot problems these girls will have when they hit 50.

I totally agree. Giselle looks like she is holding herself up straight by her toes alone, because there is no way that shoe offers any support whatsoever.

I dress up for work (you know, the thing I’m not doing right now), and I have high arches, and I’m not looking to shop in the orthopaedic section anytime soon. That being said, I limit myself to wearing heels once or twice a week. The rest of the time it’s flats with insoles!

As a high heel lover, I expect to be condemned to clunky orthopedic shoes by the time I’m 50. And it will have been worth it. Love these glorious, ridiculous shoes!

I have thoughts. Gisele’s toes are hanging waaay over the end of those shoes, AND that ankle strap’s hugeness means there’s really almost nothing holding that shoe in place, no wonder she’s gripping the shoe with her toes. OUCH. Does Jada Pinkett Smith have really dirty big toenails, or is that poorly conceived nail art? I love Beil’s shoes, and Zoe Saldana’s and Hailey Reinhart’s, whhoever that is. But Ingrid Michaelson’s are the Robyn of shoes. I saw those shoes, and thought of her hair. Don’t ask me why. It made sense in my head!

And by “her hair” I mean “I saw those shoes, and thought of ROBYN’S hair.” Not that that makes much more sense, but I feared antecedent confusion.

Those shoes are for sale right now at Anthro. Ugly shoes available for all!

The world is a better place, more balanced and fair now that I know that Gisele has some UGLY feet. Those toes are seriously wack.

Don’t make fun of feet. There’s so little you can do to control how your feet look. I’m touchy because I have low arches and get made fun of when I do ballet. Oh and after 13 years of ballet, guess what, I have bad feet.

Even Jessica Biel’s toenails are boring.

As usual, my feet sympathetically hurt just looking at these photos and OH MY GOSH, did someone airbrush Emma Watson’s skin or is she really that flawless? I don’t even remember the shoes, I am just so mesmerized by anyone who has legs like that….no veins showing, her skin is all one tone, no bruises or bumps, no signs even that she has ever had hair on her legs. wow.

Girlfriend’s what, 22? She should still have baby-smooth skin. I love her shoes. I also own shoes that are older than her.

re: Union Jack shoes: McQueen had some gorgeous union jack booties back in 2008 (?). I’d much rather have a pair of those: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_uXqTDHRatCw/SpSvMvfisxI/AAAAAAAAAck/mo8gG6a-CV4/s320/Alexander+Mcqueen++union+jack+boots+and+clutch.jpg

    With matching clutch please.

Charolette’s shoes have been a round for some time now, just like Brian Attwood. it’s just that their names fail in comparison to the big guns, especially Loubes

I love Emma Stone, Emma Watson, Victoria Justice, Miranda Lambert, Brooklyn Decker & Kirsten Dunst’s shoes! I COVET Haley Reinhart shoes! And, Elizabeth Banks’ shoes and I belong together! LOVE! WANT! *sigh*

Maybe I’m evil, but I love that Gisele has ugly feet.
That chick wearing Willow Smith’s shoes–I don’t remember her name, but before I saw the caption, I was sure it was actually Willow Smith. So Heather and I are on the same wavelength.

Found them! They’re Tabitha Simmons. Alas, at $1500 they are a hair out of my price range…

Now I know which shoes to avoid if I don’t want hammer toes.

I have never been adverse to an ankle strap, when done properly and with the right outfit to avoid stumpification. However, I cannot get on board with these gigantic ankle straps/cuffs that. I’ve yet to see a pair look flattering on anyone.

Defiantly not your average heel, but I think Emma Stones shoes are great. I would love to see the dress she paired it with though.
