For this one, "Rineke Dijkstra shot her without a trace of artifice." Except, again... if it's a blank canvas project, you should be applying things to her, not making her the centerpiece, right? I think this experiment has been badly named. And also, the non-artifice look actually reeks of artifice, because I think they had to strive to make her look this bad. There is clearly lipstick, and the eyeshadow and mascara were obviously chosen to detract from her, and her hair was carefully ruined, all of which has been HUGELY artificially paired with a girly white dress. I challenge thee, Rineke Djikstra! Also, this is depressing. I know Les Miserables is all anyone can talk about right now, but come on, let's not let it become a style.
