The whole time I was looking at this, I kept thinking I'd seen it before. I don't think I have, but I realized it's evocative of bits of other things: a pinch of this, a dash of that, and a soupcon of this (but fortunately, ZERO of this). The fit of the skirt is working for me, and it really flatters her awesome curves. The bodice is also a lot more flattering than what she usually picks, but there's also a lot going on there: a necktie, some lace, sleeves, transparency... does the fact that it's all black keep it from being too much of a muchness, so to speak, or do we still need to remove an element? Perhaps the back view will inform you.
