Well, they seem to be getting along better:
I really just want these two to make it work. I don’t know why I’m so invested in this relationship, I just am. How does that happen? Why are there some celebs we love together, and root for, and some we actively want to break up, and some we literally could not care less about? And why are there some celebrities you couldn’t care less about until they get together with another celebrity you don’t care about, and then suddenly you like them both? Humans are weird animals.
Let’s take a better look at her dress:
The topknot feels a little Lauren Conrad, but I kind of like the dress. It feels — and might be — vintage. I appreciate that she could pop up in Scruples and no one else would miss a beat – it seems very 80s Charity Luncheon Power Bitch With a Powerful Demoralizing Secret That Will Eventually Empower Her, and I mean that in the best way possible.

I have provisional love for the dress. I’m pretty sure she’s holding a black bag of some sort in her hand, which gives and odd effect to the skirt. If it’s not a tulip skirt and doesn’t have a thigh-high slit, I’m on board.
She’s holding a little clutch. You can click on the picture to enlarge it (the pic, not the clutch) It does have a thigh-high slit. It;s not a tulip skirt, but a part of the hem is sort of pinned higher up which gives it the A-line effect.
PACEY THOSE PANTS NOOOOOOOO.
I’ve been waiting for this since I saw it. While her hair accentuates the hairline (eek), I love that the top of the dress feels like a fancy fall sweater complete with some ski fur and the skirt has a cool way of showing some leg. I don’t think I noticed the sleeve cutouts before/sheerness?
I am equally invested in their love and will buy stock in cucumbers.
I too was distracted by the hairline. Hevn’t noticed it on her before but that is one heck of a widows peak…
I could never love a man in shiney pants.
I would like the dress but for the impression that the front is caught in her panties.
The street shot has a photo-shoped feel, they seem to be floating in front of the backdrop and not casting any shadows. Freaky.
Agreed. The pinned up part in the front looks awkward and like a mistake rather than whimsical.
What is up with the hemline of the skirt? Looks odd to me, and not intentional. Would love it so much more if it had a straight pencil skirt look.
If it helps balance out your own feelings, Jessica, I do not give a fuck about them.
Also, this dress is ugly.
That dress is fuh-GLY. Wow. I’m amazed you like it but different strokes and all that.
I’m equally unfazed by their relationship.
I like the dress. I love Diane and Pacey, and each of them separately. But why, with the topknot. Why is this in fashion? ::sigh::
Seriously. If Diane Kruger – who is as gorgeous as human being can possibly be – cannot pull of the topknot, NO ONE can.
Agreed. I’m going to start lopping topknots off wherever I see them.
Trailer hitch hair, I call it. The horizontal mink, and the skirt-caught-in-panties look are unforgivable.
Pacey’s pants are too shiny and they are stuck on his sock or something, but ….. PACEY!!!
I like Diane’s dress, it does look vintage and she wears that look quite well. The hair is a big no for me, but its a small quibble.
HE SHAVED!!! HE SHAVED!!! OH GLORIOUS DAY HE SHAVED!!! So I don’t care about the shiny pants. But I’m very much against the topknot and the weird fold-y skirt, even though the top of the dress is kinda weirdly cute. After reading about Dicey on here all the time, I’m kinda rooting for them too. If they broke up we wouldn’t get any more funny posts about them and that would make me sad.
They’re one of the couples I irrationally love as well, or they used to be until Amy and Will broke up, causing love to die.
Anyway, I almost always love what she wears even if I’d hate it on anyone else, but I’m having a hard time with this one. I hate topknots, also.
DICEY!!! That dress is interesting, I’ll give it that much. Also, saw her Marie Antoinette film – so good! And she is good in it!
If DICEY!! is an autocorrect Im cracking up. If it’s not, Im still crackling with delight.
I can’t remember who came up with that (might have been Glee for all I remember
) but someone on a previous post about them proposed we call them “Dicey” and it stuck, at least with some of us!!!
In the Venn diagram that is the comments, I am part of the following spheres: the hemline is weird, the dress is not what I would choose (I’m being nice), and I don’t care about them.
What in the heck is happening with those pants? Im surprised she let him go out with those on.
Conditional love. I’m puzzled by the pinned-up looking skirt, but I think she can wear it, even though no one else could (I feel that way about a lot of what she wears). The hair? No. I have hair like that. Diane, do not pull up to the top of the head and expose the horrible looks-like-its-receding hairline!
P.S. I’m glad it’s not just me with that hairline.
aww they are too cute! I don’t know why I couldn’t vot but I would say that I was distracted by Pacey..love him!
I could get over the weird furry stuff on the dress if it wasn’t tacked up on one side like that. And that hairdo is doing her no favors.
this dress is amazing. also, their relationship is amazing. i need them to be together forever.
I don’t like the dress, but I love them together. And I’ve never even seen a single episode of Party of Five. They just look good together.
The topknot is what all the hipster women in Sweden were wearing summer 2010, and she looks cute in it. But I never heard they were having any problems, and I refuse to believe it. I like them together.
I hate the dress in the first pic, but kinda love it in the second one, so, much like Natalie Imbruglia, I’m torn. That being said I always love Pacey.
It looks like they both endured some kind of horrible hem trauma. Some weird port-side static attack or something.
What is wrong with everybody? There is STILL nothing wrong with a top-knot. It’s just putting your hair in a pony tail, wrapping it around, and tucking it in! As a 25-year old yoga addict in the Bay Area, I may be desensitized.
I love this dress- the hemline is a bit strange, but Diane’s style is always sophisticated with a quirk so I think it works.
It’s fine for yoga, for vacuuming, or running to the 7-11 for lottery tickets. Or washing the car, or washing the dog. NOT for dressies.
I don’t care for the black stripes across the top at all. It gives the outfit a “New at Jane’s Bondage Boutique for The Professional Lady” feel.
She was soooo close. Lose the fur stripes and the sheer arm bands, change the hair and add some zip to the shoes — something — and she would be fine.
In any case she has beautiful legs. Also, pretty eyebrows. And a lovely boyfriend/fiancé/husband(?)
I love top knots!! They accentuate the cheek bones!
I am loving the topknot/bun trend right now! I think the problem here is that hers is just badly placed/proportioned. It looks a little more “I’m trying not to get my hair wet in the shower bc I just had it blown out” than “I have a big event to go to.” But in general, I’m with Guerra, they usually do great things for one’s cheekbones.
I love above the waist. The skirt is just okay, but I like the length of it. She feels like she’s moving in to autumn, which I appreciate. They’re in Toronto, right? I also like that she’s just a bit shiny (the top) and nothing is see-through. I think she’s got the face to rock a top-knot, but I get the Lauren Conrad reference. That is her thing, isn’t it? Has Gwyneth rocked a top-knot yet? Just wondering.
And yes, HURRAH for shaving. It’s nice to see him clean-faced for once. Good shoes too. Shiny and clean and dressy. He’s bombed on shoes before.
The hair makes it sort of look like the face is being stretched in a Croydon Facelift kind of a manner – not a great look. The dress would work if the top level was maybe plain or if it was all black. It’s a fantastic line, it just doesn’t work with the printed top.

If not for those silly fur strips at the shoulder and waist, I would love the dress, but there they are, looking silly and making me sigh. So I hate it.
Piling on to the mound of remarks about the hair as well. It’s fine for yoga and a smoothie afterward. It is not fine for an event at which you will be photographed.
The shiny pants are a little weird, but they’re not making me mad. What is, though, now that jerkygirl’s pointed it out by noting that he shaved, is that he in fact still needs a shave. I was fed up with the stubble look right about when it started, and it scratches, too. Poor Diane.
I like shiny pants but not if they’re too long. Like this pair. Do they not know about such things as how to know when your pants need hemming?
He also has diaper-crotch. I’m changing my mind, I am mad at those pants. Not because they are shiny, because they don’t fit at all!
Diane Kruger is my fashion icon! She always looks amazing! So effortless!

I’m distracted by Pacey’s wandering hairline.
