Fug the Show: Ringer, The Penultimate Episode

Tonight is the Ringer finale, possibly FOREVER, so this is one of the last chances on GFY to come forth and bask in the House of Gruffuddor (unless he shows up next on, say, 90210, which fortunately for him seems very unlikely). Since this entire hour took place the same day as the end of the previous episode, almost nobody changed clothes, but the plot recap ought to be worth it simply because there was a LOT of screaming and runny mascara and wine. Just the way God intended.

    Brilliant, as always. I don’t have high hopes for a renewal, but I really wish they would, if only so we could get more Ringer recaps. Sigh.

    I just feel like I need to say…I saw Titanic 3D this weekend (don’t judge). And Ioan Gruffudd is IN Titanic! (As extremely sexy officer that saves Rose from freezing to death.) It was seriously the best part of the entire night. Maybe this is common knowledge, but I wanted to put it out there just in case.

        Well that’s embarrassing. I actually watch the show and I haven’t seen this episode yet, so I didn’t read the recap for fear of spoilage. Yay for including it in the recap!

    I have to say about the phone, that Catherine re-plugged it before leaving when she attempted to make the pent look normal (while Poor twin was drowning in the bathtub).

    I think Ioan is like a fine wine…much better with age. I did not find his younger self nearly as attractive as his brooding, emoting Ringer self.

    Speaking of younger selves, did anyone else see the TV movie from the 90s starring Andrea Roth as twins? I think its called A Change of Place and it is based on a trashy Harlequin novel. One twin is a model who is on the drugs and her twin sister TAKES HER PLACE so she does not lose her status as a supermodel. Haha. And the non-model falls in luuuurv with Rick Springfield. It is epic. And so is the fashion. In fact, I think that would make an excellent Fug the Show Extra given its similarities to the Ringer plot, the presence of Andrea Roth, and the tremendously awful 90s fashion. To wit:

    I love this show and I super love the fugcaps! As Heather has mentioned, odds are not in the favor of a season two.
