This morning, when I Fug-or-Fabbed Kristen Stewart’s interesting-if-mismatched-looking outfit, I was doing so without all the facts. Specifically, I thought she was clinging to Taylor Lautner for dear life simply because Robert Pattinson seemed interested in raining three-day-old odor down upon her while he snacked on her spleen. But as it turns out, she may have been nervously regretting her clothing choice. Because when she stalked offstage to maybe OR MAYBE NOT YOU DON’T KNOW HER LIFE sneak into R.Pattz’s hotel room for some mopey and unwashed nooky, she revealed this:

I’ve heard of wanting a HOUSE with windows that let in a lot of natural light, but seeking a skirt with the same properties is baffling to me. Next she’ll be shopping for a pair of pants with three bedrooms, central air, and stainless steel appliances.

I WANT to say that everything could be fixed with the insert of opaque panels on the back and top, but I am not sure it can.. too busy, too ill fitting, and she just isn’t pulling off those booties. (also additional negs for hair that is too flat and too black) . Basically I think she need a massive do over from head to toe.
This is when it’s important to wear the good underwear. Like the one’s your supposed to wear in case you get into a car accident and have to go the hospital and you don’t want the doctors and nurses to see your ratty old granny pants. At least she’s wearing underwear in this fish bowl of a skirt…
Maybe K.Stew was trying to distance herself from all of the non-panty wearing Hollywood hoes out there. (Because she’s soooooo not Hollywood.) Maybe the window to her panties is there to show the press, “Here! Look! I wear appropriate undergarments, unlike the rest of the young “actresses” out there.” That gives her outfit SOME credit.
However, in order to fix this, I’m afraid the only way out is to borrow Taylor’s shirt (he’s better off without it) and Rob’s pants. (He won’t look any less dishelved without them.)
I, too, am baffled. Why would someone take out the panel that covers one’s bottom? When will women–and especially young women–realize sexy is what we DON’T see (she said, rocking and yelling at the kids on her lawn).
I actually love those shoes, and I haven’t been fond of the bootie look at all up to now.
I initially thought the outfit was a little weird, a little edgy, but she was more or less pulling it off even with the off-putting booties. Now, though, I just can’t deal with the exposed underwear. I do not need this to become a socially acceptable fashion motif.
The only positive that I can think to say about this is, at least she has underwear on.
Skirts shouldn’t come with their own screen door, however, the shoes are quite fabulous.

Really though, this dress looks better from the back. If the skirt was made of a mesh that wasn’t see through, and the front looked more like the back, just again, not see through, this dress might look nice on her.
The structure is there, it’s just ruined by hideous additions!
Her makeup is often lovely, but is overshadowed by the rest.
1. Wash hair, get highlights (unless she’s still shooting that movie), softer style. I do not think Joan Jett’s hair looks good on her.
2. Either do real boots or not. The hooves are bad. She wore some great heels not long ago. Why’d she abandon them?
3. I do not need or want to see her undies. No more sheer fabric. I’d probably hate the outfit less if the skirt was a solid gray rather than having those stripey parts in the front. And of course the bum-revealing panel.
The top is sheer with enough ribbon to cover her nipples as long as she doesn’t make any sudden moves. The skirt has a sheer inset in the back. The fit makes the outfit look like what Tim Gunn would call “student work” – presuming, in this case, that he means a middle school student. It can’t be saved. And yet, I find that girl so boring and vaguely irritating that I can’t bring myself to really care. I’m only posting to avoid actual work.

I love it – but I loved the bullet skirt, too. I’m not sure why people feel the need to deride her for being “edgy”. She’s more punky than girly-girl – nice to see some contrast to all the cookie-cutter actresses out there.

There is a difference between being edgy and cool, and being stuck up and tacky looking. Sometimes she gets it right, often she doesn’t. I think this look would have gotten it right if not for the window, though.

This is an ugly outfit. Kristen Stewart has worn so many ugly outfits that it has to be considered deliberate. Her stylist must have instructions to purchase the ugliest, most poorly fitting, charm-free outfits in existence. Finally, due to the regularity of these ugly things, I think we are being mocked…for looking, for caring, or even glancing. The actress is clearly telling us that she DOES NOT CARE what we think. So be it.
So, based on my theory, I believe she should wear red tights, cut holes in her blouse where her nipples are so they stick out, dye her hair blue and wear matching mittens and a flannel lumberjack cap. With a plastic yellow purse. Oops, wooden bangle bracelets too!

I love the shirt part of this dress, she’s totally rocking it and it seems so her style but whether or not the skirt is part of the outfit the shirt should be paired with some nice tailored pants, or a skirt that doesn’t have a backdoor screen.
She’s young, skinny and has a quirky and eccentric personality. I wish she’d asked the designer to cover her bum — but at the same time I don’t have a problem with her wearing a costume during what must be a hugely tedious round of being in a screaming and eyeball scorching fishbowl. Every time I see this girl, I want to know WTF she is thinking when she gets dressed. I have yet to see a single picture where I think “Oh, yeah. K.Stew is lookin’ rull cute right there.” Instead, I invariably think “Sweet baby Jesus, child. Where are your friends? Why would anyone who cares about you let you out of your house like that?”

Maybe, he’s always in mid-sneeze and/or mid-hurl due to a massive sinus infection and/or hang-over when the shutter is opened. Just because he’s a film star doesn’t mean he takes a good pic… look at Sean Penn.

Kristen just seems uncomfortable dressing up most of the time. She is also kind of frail looking, and often looks like a little girl playing dress up. But I also kinda like that she tends to go for the edgier, rocker-chick look, dresses her age, and doesn’t really care what people think of her. As for the sheer panels, maybe they didn’t look sheer in person, but just came off that way on camera? She has a beautiful face and gorgeous eyes, at any rate.
But her legs are way too skinny to do the bootie look. I don’t think it’s flattering at all. Same for the converse. Not flattering to skinny legs.
