Fug or Fab: Alexis Bledel

Apparently, one of the things she’s been up to is, “attacking all her LBDs with a pair of scissors.” Behold:

I am very impressed by how pretty she is wearing essentially no makeup — winning the genetic lottery at work! — but LESS impressed by her dress now than I was when I thought those were flesh-toned sections of fabric and not ACTUAL FLESH.

Don’t get me wrong, I actually kind of like this conceptually. I just feel like, in practice, it’s kind of awkward and I find myself not looking at her pretty face but staring at her stomach muscles. On the other hand, if she’s been logging crazy hours in the gym, I could see why she might want to show them off. And I have to congratulate her for not going bare midriff. See? There’s always a silver lining.
