Fug or Fab: Diane Kruger

I feel like Pacey is trying so hard to get Kruger to laugh, and she is just NOT LOOKING AT HIM. Over the last several years, I have managed to get weirdly invested in their relationship. Like, a few weeks ago, I read a blind item that implied — to de-blind it — Katie Holmes was leaving Tom Cruise and spending a lot of time with her ex-boyfriend, although it was unclear as to whether or not she was involved with said ex in a romantic fashion. (Obviously, all of this is ALLEGEDLY.) Of course, you had to wonder if that ex was Pacey here. And while back in the day, I believe I begged the heavens to let Pacey save Joey from Maverick, NOW I really just want Pacey and Diane to help Katie Holmes deal with her (alleged) problems as concerned friends to her and nothing else. Pacey and Diane are so cute together! I don’t want him to leave her to go back to Katie Holmes! That would be terrible! It would ruin the fanfic I’m obviously about two weeks from writing, based on how much I love this next photo:

How cute are those two? I hope they let Katie and Suri stay in the guest room while Katie sorts out her fictional problems with Tom. But let’s talk about Diane’s dress. I presume it is Chanel, and it’s obviously beautifully made, technically speaking. And the shoes are fantastic. But I don’t know about all the….shelves it appears to have. The skirt, the belt, the jacket: so many boxy layers. It doesn’t seem as flattering to me as it could be, and it also feels a bit DAYTIME. That being said, I would sort of like to see it without the jacket.

I don’t know what’s going on with this party but it looks fun. In other pictures, Pacey and Diane are tooling around with a Segway. And now….she appears to be singing a merry tune whilst Samm Levine (or, as he will always be to me, Neil from Freaks and Geeks) just stands there thinking, “Dear God. Thank you for letting me be cast in Inglourious Basterds. Diane Kruger is shimmying in front of me in Cannes. I’ll never complain again.” As for the dress, I like it much better without the little jacket, but I’ve been too sucked into trying to figure out what’s happening in these pictures to have an actual opinion any more.
