Fugs and Fabs: Other People at the Mad Men Premiere

Jon must love the amount his Hamm is in the news. Seriously. Is there a bigger compliment than MULTIPLE stories about how his beanstalk is TOO imposing?

First, Vincent has to shave his hair back to look like he is balding on Mad Men…that is why he has pushed his hair forward to create man bangs.

I like Jessica’s dress, but DANG is her make-up scary. Too much. And I think the dress would look cute a little bit shorter. Love Elizabeth Moss’s look. I think she looks completely fabulous, perhaps best she has ever looked.

The lighting must have been harsh because they all look like vampires.

Despite the sash, I think Alison Brie looks fantastic. I covet her shoes!

I am also glad she has another job in addition to Community, because despite it being one of my favourite shows, I really don’t think they’re looking at another season. Boo!

Rory is engaged to someone other than Logan Huntzberger!!!

I just can’t hate anything about Alison Brie.

Whatever has happened to Jennifer Westfeldt’s face makes me kinda sad, though.

    Haaaaammmmm!!!!
    That would be all.
(I wanted to comment on what he’s actually wearing, but I just can’t. All I can articulate when I see him is just “Haaaaammmmm!!!!”. Sorry).

Christina Hendricks: sad dress, but her head has never looked better. Boy, she’s beautiful.
Elizabeth Moss: I thought the LBD looked cute, but then I saw a pic of the back, and it was really weird. I think she was wearing it with the zip half open???

p.s. Little (or not much little anymore) Sally Draper was also at this thing, and she was – as always – the best dressed of the Mad (wo)Men.

I rather like Paré’s dress, but the hemline isn’t the most flattering and I’m not sure about those shoes (which I do like by themselves) with it. The makeup is a disaster. Is she making a guest appearance as a zombie on The Walking Dead?

Hendricks, well, it’s better, anyway. The top half seems to fit nicely, and her head looks great. Love the colored shoe, too.

It’s nice to see Moss in something so frankly sexy! I like when she breaks that out. With her ladylike yet minxy bearing, and not being too busty, this isn’t just all boobs boobs boobs, as it might be on someone else. Thumbs up.

Kartheiser, I sympathize… it’s got to be hard to be his age and have to shave back your hairline. I don’t think there’s any way he can wear it that’ll look good until it’s grown back after filming. Maybe he could just appear in character all the time?

I seriously never noticed Jon’s Hamm until people started talking about it so much.

That make up makes Jessica Pare look like Michelle Trachtenberg’s mother, which I would consider a HUGE compliment, if Pare wasn’t only 3 years her senior.

I dont watch Mad Men, but I love Hamm so Ive been reading about his “problem” (Ive seen the pap pictures, if that’s a problem Id like to give it go to figure out how to solve it) and quite frankly, Ill start watching this damn show if I’m guaranteed a shot of his wang every episode.

Do you have any shots of Teyonah Parris is your subs? Because she looked NOTEWORTHY at this event. I think fantastic … but others might disagree with her headsuit choice. It was certainly not boring.

At the time I set this, I hadn’t seen any — it has been a very busy and frustrating couple of days… I’ll see if I can find.

Yes! Teyonah Parris was STUNNING at this premiere — and totally different from her Mad Men character. I didn’t even realize it was the same woman! IMO she was by far the best dressed of the cast. Also, Kiernan Shipka was SO CHIC and really should have been included here.

Thing One: again, I’m reminded of how hard it is to judge the “look” of someone you love. (I can’t imagine thinking anything other than OH MY GOD I’VE MISSED YOU WHERE HAVE YOU BEEEEEN to any of these people, or to any other loved one I haven’t seen in a while.)

Thing Two: Vincent Kartheiser is completely adorable. Even cuter with a Rory Gilmore back.

Thing Three: Teyonah Parris (she’s Dawn, Don’s secretary) was also at the premiere: http://www.tomandlorenzo.com/2013/03/werq-teyonah-parris-in-j-loren.html

I thought everyone should know. Because she’s gorgeous, that getup knocks my socks off, and I’m thinking we’ll be seeing more of Dawn this year.

    YAY. :)

Yay!! More Dawn! Very intriguing character, would love to see a lot more of her!

Wow, that would have been perfect and perfectly stunning if only the skirt were 4-6″ shorter. When a low hem and high shoes almost meet in the middle, the proportions are awkward. Otherwise absolutely gorgeous in every way.

I am totally borrowing from Michael K – but, “Hammaconda”. If he were a woman, he’d be dissected up and down for not being to wrangle it into place (eg Christine Hendricks and her globes).

Man. I was going to vote for JJones based on the Bowie hair alone, but DAYUM Fanning brought the fug. I had to be honest and note that January had a better year this year than last, and even though Elle is young, she isn’t blind. And even a blind person could see the print on that pantsuit.

Huh. I have no idea how I ended up on this page, but this was meant for the Charo bracket.

Elisabeth Moss seems to be the only one of the Mad Men ladies who can put a complete look together for herself. All the others seem to get it almost right, but then there’s always one or two things that destroy the overall look.
Pare’s dress was ok, but the hemline was wrong and the makeup was dreadful.
Hendricks just cannot seem to get it together. She may actually be sartorially illiterate.
And poor Alison Brie is just as cute as she can be and I love her portrayal of Trudy (who HAS to leave that asshole, Pete!) but her hair is all wrong for the dress she’s wearing.

Pete and Rory, eh? Man, their future babies will be able to sear us all into ashes with their blue eyes!

Jennifer Westfeldt’s expression-SAME every time. Like commit to a smile or a blue steel. One or the other. Or deflate the face a little! Also Vincent looks like he’s wearing male figure skater make up. Not hot! Alison Brie looks alright but all around thumbs down for this crew.

I haven’t seen what Sally Draper wore to this event, but I’m sure she killed it compared to this bunch. At least Hamm always delivers.

What a waste of that beautiful flowered fabric. The spectator shoes and belt would look great with a very tailored dress or suit but are completely wrong with a flowery dress. The cut of the dress is awful. If fits her through the middle but all the edges are wrongly placed and unflattering. The hemline is too low, the sleeves are too long, the neckline is too high — and they ruin what could have been a lovely dress.
