Allison and Rashida are my picks for the hands-downs winners. I’m a big Emma fan, but this look is just meh. This event was very sadly lacking in good shoes, though. Usually even some of the fuggiest individuals have amazing shoes, but there’s not a single pair in this series that I covet. What is this world coming to?!

Yessss! That’s exactly what I thought. I will NOT go back to those shoes. I hate even looking back at some of my old high school dance pictures because the shoes all looked like this… Ew.

I found myself offended by Emma’s shoe choice. I really like her simple dress but it calls out for a fantastic statement shoe.
Jennie needs to go back and look at Reese Witherspoon’s post breakup (in public) wardrobe. That’s how it’s done (in public – at home she may well have been sweats & ice cream mode!).
I would LOVE Anna Kendrick’s dress, if it didn’t have that damn transparent panel over the midriff. Without it, you’d have a fabulous little black dress with sexy gold detailing around the bust. It’d be sexy without being too revealing; with the sheer panel it’s too busy, and too revealing to be sophisticated.
And Lake Bell’s dress would be cool if they’d cut off that black transparency around the collar, a fractal dress has enough going on as it is, it does NOT need additions!

overall this is one of the fabber slideshows i’ve seen on GFY. i think emma looks adorable if not groundbreaking. rashida is a personal best. lake bell could have been a slam dunk without the unnecessary sheer-osity and totally refried hair. and i always root for erika christiansen because she has broad shoulders (by hollywood standards) and i have broad shoulders so i commiserate.

That’s the best Rashida has ever looked. Busy’s dress is not great, but dang, her face looks fantastic. Every time I see Jennie Garth lately, I feel sad for her. Rashida Jones lives up to her genes for once and looks amazing. Busy Phillips looks like a total kick – I might add her to the list. Everyone else looks Meh to Fug. Although I must admit that I never thought there was any there there with Anna Kendrick, until someone posted some choice tweets of hers on Tumblr, and now I think she might be adorable.
I think I have the same list of women to have a pint with! Emma Thompson is and will always be my #1, and I’d add Rachel Maddow, but pretty much spot on otherwise.
Busy’s dress gave me a migraine, and all of the awful shoes made my toes hurt.
Yay, Rashida. She looks fab, for her. Her face is dynamite and I like the hair. The dress, honestly, is very much NOT my cup of tea (I don’t like that particular blue and I especially am not fond of that waist-less silhouette), but given the parameters of her style, I will accept it.
This is one of my favorite Emma Watson looks of late because, for once, it does not look like she’s trying too hard to be edgy or interesting. She’s not show-stoppingly beautiful (calm down, folks, just my personal opinion and I do think she’s pretty in a subtle, normal person way), so when she tries to go so bold and edgy with the fashion, it strikes me as incongruous and self-conscious and overshadows her natural good looks.
Allison Janney is fabulous. Busy Phillips has TERRIBLE posture–it’s more evident from other angles that I saw in other photos. Jenny Garth–I guess it really is your face or your fanny. I’m team face in this instance.

Am I the only person to really like Busy Phillips’ outfit? I adore that dress and the shoes look good with it (and she looks really charming, too). Anna Kendrick’s dress would be a fab were it not for that sheer panel. I think Jaime King’s outfit would immediately look better if she’d added a good chunky necklace – give a bit more interest to a very plain look.
