17 photos in galleryI watch Scandal, and I enjoy it enough, although I do not think it’s as perfect as most of the world seems to (like, Fitz seems like a TERRIBLE president, and kind of a terrible husband AND illicit boyfriend). However, one thing it’s been good for is raising Kerry Washington’s profile, so that she’s out and about on a lot more red carpets. The lady may not always get an A from me on execution, but if we’re talking interest level and ambition and whatnot, she’s got a pretty damn good GPA.

i like kerry washington’s dress. it’s like something my mom would have worn back in 1968. i don’t like the hair though. it doesn’t suit her. also Fitz may be the worst president ever (with super human recovery skills) but he is really hot.
He is hot, but damn, how is it possible that the whole country isn’t aware of their illicit affair? They are constantly having intense conversations in the West Wing halls and gazing meaningfully at each other at meetings and sneaking off for sex sessions in the middle of the day. Also, they rigged the election, so they are bad Americans. Boo!
P.S., she looks lovely in that fantasy gown.

Team Heather! Peeps are awful. In a fun, kitschy, what-can-we-do-with this crap kind of way. Like (click titles for links) Lord of the Peeps or Peeps Research. But as a substance meant for human ingestion they are a classic FAIL.

Kerry Washington is WAY beyond Peeps. She’s the Peep that just got nuked in the microwave and exploded. Her fashion choices are dreadful. She really needs to either fire her stylist or find one.

I love Oh’s dress. But Loretta’s looks like the smoked mirror in between the white bricks of the fireplace in our house when I was in middle school, the mirror that my mom swore she was going to remove IMMEDIATELY upon moving in and never did.

I like Meagan Good’s but I think it would be way better without the sleeve. But she was in Brick and I heard that she and JGL dated for a little while which leads me to assume she’s totally awesome so I look kindly on her.

I mean, it’s unusual, but it’s a fabulous and original way to dress a woman who has reached an age when she doesn’t want everything to be skin-tight. Sigourney weaver should be wearing this, instead of those bags you put over wine bottles.
I unabashedly love Kerry Washington’s dress. She looks gorgeous in it. I don’t love the hairstyle, however.
Also, I would like Rue from Hunger Games to become besties with Sally Draper.
And then they could share all their super adorable shoes (assuming they wear the same shoe size). But really. If I could I would go back to my bat mitzvah and make myself wear those shoes little Rue is wearing. SO. CUTE.

Loretta Devine’s gown should be burned. It will probably give off toxic gases as it goes up in flames, though. So maybe burying it is safer.
I thought that Kerry was out on more red carpets due to Djano Unchained (which she was brilliant in). I think I’d like her dress if the hair wasn’t so Barbie.

I desperately want to see Bellamy Young’s dress on Meryl!! Aside from that, loving Archie’s sparkle, Sandra’s cape (just beat out GOOP’s cape for my all time favorite red carpet cape), and the color and sari style of Frieda’s dress. Maybe on Frieda the belt (is it a belt?) could have been a smidge lower, but all around a great look.
This is the rare slideshow where I think EVERYONE looks good, and no one needs more than a tweak here or there (even Loretta Devine’s shiny dress, but in a different fabric), Sandra Oh’s dress is gorgeous and I think I want to marry it. Amandla Stenberg is beyond adorable, and Halle Berry isn’t wearing a sartorial depiction of the delirium tremens. Woo hoo!!!
