Don’t bother me, I’m working on our Gift Guide (coming your way next week). Until then:
– Are these New York’s 100 Most Important Living Writers? (Flavorwire)
– This is a really interesting article about what NFL training camp is like when you are NOT a star rookie — and may not even make the team — and the tough life of an undrafted free agent. (The New York Times Magazine)
– Speaking of sports, “Andrew Bynum and the Meaning of NBA Hair” is a great read from — (Grantland)
– PLEASE BUY SOME OF YOKO ONO’S NEW MENSWEAR FOR YOUR BOYFRIEND. (The Cut)
– Ooh, I love it when the list of the year’s most popular baby names comes out. That one isn’t the one that comes out from Social Security, but it will sate our cravings. FOR NOW. (Time)
– Do you like codes, ciphers, and secret societies? Then read this. (Wired)
– Look at some charming photos of Chris Hemsworth. (Celebitchy)
– Maybe you’re more in the mood for Joseph Gordon-Levitt (and his Marvel Comics/Batman prospects)? (Lainey)
– Cee-lo’s Christmas song is ably backed up by THE MUPPETS. YES. (Mashable)
– Longform curated six of Playboy’s best interviews, from Sinatra to Nabokov. (Slate)
– ABC News got security cam footage of a dude realizing that he won the Powerball — allegedly — and while he freaked out, I would have freaked out MORE. I would have knocked over that entire stand of oranges! (Gawker)

Oh. My. Gawd. Just took a quick glance at the Yoko designs, and… my eyes! My eyes! I can’t unsee that.
I’m usually not a capsy person, but I just have to get this out there.
YOU GUYS YOKO ONO’S CLOTHES HAVE CUTOUTS ON THE THIGHS AND BUTTS AND HANDPRINTS ON THE CROTCHES AND SHE’S SELLING A MAN BRA WITH LIGHTBULB NIPPLES AND A $200 JOCKSTRAP.
Phew. I feel a little better now.
JGL is perfect for a never ending Friday afternoon!
JGL is perfect for any time. Usually my taste runs towards slightly more rugged-looking, or maybe just more older-looking men, but damn if I don’t drool over JGL. He’s so cute!
The NFL training camp piece has the wrong link. For anyone interested, it’s:

I agree, it’s a fascinating read!
Sorry, and thanks.
You had me at Gift Guide! Always look forward to the Fug Girls gift guide =)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh…… Joseph Gordon-Levitt! ♥
Just giving it a quick glance, I caught Declan and Grayson on the name list.
I can usually count on at least one of the Friday fugs and pieces to be an absolutely fantastic read. The Longform stuff is a treasure trove, thanks!
As a former teacher of first grade, I beg any of you yet to have a name a child, never pick one that has a letter “y” (or worse, more than one) in the middle. It makes learning to print one’s own name unneccessarily difficult.
Edit: have AND name a child
Glancing over this list I thought it said “do you like ciders” and I was like “yeah.”
Normally, blonde guys do nothing for me, but Chris Hemsworth is an exception. I’ve liked him ever since he made me cry in the first minutes of Star Trek.
And not only is he hot, he seems to have a fantastic sense of humor. And honestly? That just makes him even hotter. Funny guys always do it for me.
Oh my fugging God, Opening Fugemony has finally outfugged the Sefugny collection. Via manfug, nonetheless.
God bless you, Yoko. I know that designs don’t qualify you for Fug Madness, but you (and FUGYE) are seriously making a case against that rule.
Jessica, thanks for this great post, as usual.
It would maybe be easier for you to make and for us to read if you used the Minilogs website embed though, no? It’s an internet bookmarking website, where you can share all your multimedia links.
http://www.minilogs.com. Just an idea!
Cheers,
