I feel so much more charitable about this now that I know the skirt isn't sheer. Something about the pleating made it look like the classic Maxi-Shirt/Spankies combo we've all come to know and loathe. It's still a little Fanciest Schoolteacher On the Prairie, but let's all just acknowledge that things could be worse.
