It was a strange thing seeing only one Modern Family acting nod, but at the same time, a delight — the Hollywood Foreign Press Association may be full of crazy people, and nominations or wins may be for sale, but at least it isn’t afraid to dispatch with the old in favor of new stuff. Sometimes I think Emmy ballots are just based off the previous year with one space that’s a wild card.
