Fugs and Pieces: April 23

fugs-and-pieces

– So it’s been a long week. I’m just relieved that I’m not the woman who was recently legally banned from EVERY SINGLE BAR in England and Wales. Because she’s such a mean drunk (apparently). Me? I need to know what kind of bad behavior this girl got up to. You KNOW there are stories about her floating around that would curl your hair. (Daily Mail)

– If you’re a Project Runway fan, make sure you pop by Project Rungay today and enjoy all the post-finale shenanigans. Tom and Lorenzo are the best.

This montage of people from infomercials who are incapable of doing difficult tasks like successfully pouring milk is pretty hilarious. Oh, infomercials: you’re the best. I personally really like the one for the Magic Bullet (the OTHER Magic Bullet) where hardcore old lady smokers complain about how hard it is to chop onions. (Vulture)

– This blog detailing where we too can get the cute, prim, colorful retro outfits sported by Jayma Mays on Glee is going to be bad for my budget. (What Would Emma Pillsbury Wear?)

– In totally unrelated news, now they’re saying the infamous Donner Party DIDN’T resort to cannibalism when their trek to settle in California took a rough turn in the mountains. I can not tell you how disappointing this is. Not that I want people to eat other people, but simply because the story of the Donner Party is REALLY DRAMATIC and probably the most interesting thing that any child in the California school system learned in her entire fourth grade year. And now it’s a LIE?! I refuse to accept that. Also, as far as I’m concerned, Pluto is still a planet. (Business Week)

Bobby Trendy is so SUBTLE. (In Case You Didn’t Know)

Johnny Weir is writing a book. He’s got a lot going on lately! Since he’s also designing a clothing line. I just hope one of the two projects involve feathers. (Jacket Copy)

– I agree with the girls at Slaves to Fashion that, if you are considering buying a bedazzled do-hickey to cover your butt crack, MAYBE YOU SHOULD BUY NEW PANTS. (Slaves to Fashion)

Lucky did a great job chronicling Coachella fashion. As much as I like live music, I’ve never been — it seems like there are so many people there, and it’s so hot, and I am easily overwhelmed by both — but between this and all the awesome tweets we got from Fug Nation about the fashion, I’m beginning to think I need to go for work. (Lucky Mag)

– We did a couple of interviews this week; if you’re interested, here’s the one for Cleo Magazine, and here’s one with Fashion Indie! Yay!

I appreciate that Lainey feels the same way that I do about Chris Evans. I just don’t get it, you guys. Is there a movie he was in that I have to see, to understand the phenomenon? (Lainey)
