My first thought after glancing at the picture was that Jessica Simpson has been hiding out starving herself, and she’s now anorexic.
I would have given Kate some credit had she dumped the coat like she did A-Rod, and committed herself 100% to wearing the animal-print jumpsuit. It’s like at the last minute she had a moment of clarity and realized what she was wearing was tragic, and tried to cover it up with a coat.

OMG I LOVE JUMPIN JAMMERZ! I just got new ones: black with rainbow colored stars all over. They are the best things ever. If I could wear them to Starbucks and the grocery store, I would. So she’s in bed, sobbing, of course, with boxes of tissues piled around, and her (desperate) publicist tells her they’re just going on a quick comfort food run but she’ll never find a place to park so Kate has to go and stay in the car so she doesn’t get a ticket, and Kate really doesn’t want to go but she does, on account of parking tickets suck and her publicist says all she has to do is throw on a coat and shoes.
Next thing you know, Kate finds herself RIGHT IN FRONT OF the movie premiere, and a short Italian producer (in the suit) opens her car door and the paps are right there, of course, so Kate has to play the professional and put on her game face and face the music, even her own, and all the while she’s thinking OHMYFUCKINGAWD!!!
