Fug’s On, With Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung is confusing to me, as a celebrity. Or, rather, “a celebrity,” because she really hasn’t broken through here in America, beyond the fashionista crowd — she may no longer be trying to, of course, in which case: well-played. She did, however, do a collection of clothing for Madewell (that J Crew off-shoot — I have a pair of jeans from them that I LOVE. Not from her collection. From the Madewell…well) so SOMEONE is digging into what she’s serving up.

However, I  — like Carrie Bradshaw — can’t help but wonder if that would have happened had anyone at J Crew corporate seen girlfriend in these high-waisted leather shorts that appear to have AN ATTACHED GARTER. You know, for all those nights when you want to wear stockings with your leather shorts, or — as I refer to it — when you have to work the corner.
