That hits her in the wrong part of her hips, giving the whole thing a frumpy look that’s only enhanced by the crazy mix of silver purse and gold-hued jewelry. She looks like a young cocktail waitress turned lounge singer at the Naples Yacht Club, who borrowed a gown and some fixins from the local costume shop before her big performance of “Almost Like Being In Love” for the 5 p.m. night-owl crowd on Buffet Thursday.

Mandy’s looking a little bloated. I’m afraid she suffers from Debra Messing syndrome- it occurs when a formerly fashionable skinny person gains a few pounds and has no idea how to dress for their new shape. Oh, and Mandy, lay off the spray tan.
Its not very flattering, and mixing gold and silver accessories like that is a big…THE HELL??? as Jessica would say but otherwise its not horrific. Far worse crimes of Fug where committed this night. Basic black is difficult to fugup.

But when Miss McGinty, our really cool 8th grade Spanish teacher, wore that same exact dress to our Spring Fling in 1979, she looked so pretty in it. Mandy Moore should also have put a big red hibiscus behind her ear like Miss McGinty did.

Okay, I don’t love it–it makes her look pear-shaped–but I wouldn’t call it “Fug”. I mean, you passed up some truly amazing fug in that very portfolio–the young woman who was wearing a fake tie crocheted out of rhinestones, for example.
Mandy Moore is so pretty, but from the neck down that could be Dianne Wiest for all we know…(who I love, but she is 175 years older than Mandy!)
I’m sure Mandy weighs 75 pounds, but in this optical nightmare dress she looks like the opera cow — er, mezzo I saw in a small town production of ‘Norma’, struggling up the stage stairs, stopping several times to catch her breath and bellow out the next lines.
My boyfriend leaned over to me and said “I wouldn’t get in front of her at Bob’s Breakfast Bar tomorrow moring.”
Jeez, you guys are brutal. Yeah, the dress isn’t particularly flattering, but it ain’t hideous. This is downright classy compared to Gwen Stefani’s pre-midlife crisis pirate ensemble.

It looks more like a piece of black cloth rather than a dress, she has a great figure..usually she dresses demure for her age unlike britney/xtina..but this just does not suit her at all.
