A reminder of our unscientific process: It’s only people we put on the site; best-dressed candidates are people we Well Played, or people whose Fug or Fab polls are coming up Fab; likewise, worst-dressed are people we fugged, or whose Fug or Fab polls are coming up Fug. It’s not perfect, and I know sometimes people disagree with our assessments, but it’s the only way we can think of to run these polls without a lot of jumbled insanity.

Well, as of right now I am hitting the trifecta in Best Dressed.
I am hoping for another runoff in Worst, it’s just waaaaaaaaaaaay too hard. I finally went with JLo, just so I can finally say: the white overdress part looks like the unisex, one-size-fits-all panties they give you at the hospital.
Beyonce’s short gold dress is awesome. it’s the Grammys! Lea Michele looked ready for a premier, or more staid event.
That worst dressed list is a goldmine of liquid gold lame and sequins and latex. So badddd it’s good.
Though I thought the following looked AMAZING:

I still had to give credit where due – Lea Michele’s dress was PERFECT.
I’m slightly torn between Miley’s and Kaley’s dresses; I love Miley’s dress, but it doesn’t quite fit her well enough to be 100% flattering (I’m guessing it was designed for someone with no flesh or internal organs, and had to be bought larger, to fit the girth of a normal human being, making the arms too long). And (perhaps because I’m short, and they work better on me) I’m a fan of short dresses. But Kaley’s dress is fantastic on her, and she looks so pretty and elegant, so… that’s the way I’m voting.
And once again, is seems like the personalities are being voted for, rather than the dresses, or there is NO way on earth Lea Michele’s dress could be on the ‘best’ list, sweet as she may be! It reminds me of the costumes my mum used to make for me out of crepe paper.
The Worst Dressed was a tough one, so many crazy outfits that should be shredded… but the purple leather dress made me go to the kitchen, grab the matchbox, and try to set the screen on fire.
Ciara lucked out IMO. Britney out-fugged her by a miniscule amount of pant fabric or worst dressed would’ve been hers.
Also: Fergie’s Tron meets Xena was uproariously funny, but I gave her a pass because it was a performance outfit.

I agree, pesonalities are being voted for and not so much the dresses, I think some of the lesser-known people’s dresses were worse than Hudson and Spears, like Adrienne Glau’s for example, or Nadeea’s. And while I agree that Lea Michele looked great, the dress seemed not exiting enough for the Grammy’s. Pink’s dress and Carrie Underwood’s gold lamé number hit it out of the park, imo.
I guess I have to exile myself from the fug nation or something, but I have never loved a piece of clothing as much as I love Gaga’s futuristic prom rave murder sparkle cable installation.
I thought Lea Michele was perfection! Lots of other good stuff on the red carpet, but she’s the one I saw and said “wow!” about.
Britney, Britney…*SIGH*. I think her “dress” was worse because of the POTENTIAL–she brushed and curled her hair! IT was shiny! Her face was pretty! She’s cute, physically fit, and has a great smile! SO much potential. But for some reason she has it in her head that she has to let things show through to be sexy and attractive, when we all know a pretty dress is much more attractive than whatever that thing is! As a mother, I’m sad for her.
I never thought I would live to see the day that The Fug Girls put Miley Cyrus on their best dressed list. And just today I heard that Miley’s 9-year-old sister is coming out with a lingerie line. Yes, I said 9-year-old and lingerie line in the same sentence.

I agree that performance outfits might need to be excluded. As such, Lady Gaga should always be excluded from worst dressed lists, because for her, getting dressed IS her performance.
You know she probably spends days in jeans and boots, but you’d never know because you don’t recognize her! And they’re probably CUTE jeans. She should be excluded because unlike so many ladies on the worst-dressed lists, she isn’t trying to look beautiful–she’s trying to look interesting.
But she is TRYING. Lord is she trying. And that’s why, for now, she’s on the lists. Also, she wears that stuff around town. Well, some of it.
From the poll results, it obviously doesn’t need to be said, but I’ll do it anyway: Lea looked perfect and Britney… was wearing mesh over underwear from the ’40s.
I was going to vote worst-dressed for Fergie’s performance outfit, but then the caption on the poll said her pre-party dress instead. So I voted worst dressed for Adrienne Lau because that gold lame fabric was awful.

I honestly feel that everyone but Lea Michele should be on the worst dressed list. She was the only one decently dressed person there. So, good on her! Hell, great on her. Baaaaaaad on everyone else.

I agree, some Best Dresed nominees here would be on my Worst Dressed list, and vice versa. I’m shocked, shocked I tell you, that you have the temerity to diss Miss Niecy Nash (m’mm, m’mm girlfriend!)and am shocked at myself for wanting NaDeea’s sailor themed shoes.
The bronze, silver, and gold worsts go to Sun, NaDeea, and Britney in that order of escalating WTFug. Performance costumes get a pass and cannot compete; they are professionals and my Fuglympics are stricly for amateur competition.
Lea Michele looked absolutely perfect: age-appropriate, and most importantly, FUN. It’s the Grammys, you aren’t supposed to go wild and crazy with your outfit if you aren’t a nominee (Although I don’t doubt that one day she will be), and as a first-time attendee, she was the best-dressed one there.

Lea Michelle’s dress was really simple but so freakin’ cute! She owned the others with their overwrought fish tails.
I thought GaGa’s red carpet dress was stunning, actually. And her makeup was gorgeous. I don’t care if she looks insane half the time. She makes me happy.
I almost voted for Kesha (I refuse to spell her name of with dollar symbol) and then I remembered the low-rent version of her, Nadeaa/Nausea and realized that she was by far the most ghastly dressed.
Had there been another category for Most Private Flesh Folds Showing, it would have been a tight race between Katy Perry and Nadeaa’s side boobage, but I think Lady Gaga would have taken it for her labia flaunting in that green sequined pant-less number. Yeesh.

I think it says a lot that even with performance clothing counted, Britney Spears had to be the worst dressed and it appears many people agree with me. I mean seriously. What was she wearing? It looks like she left half of it slammed in the limo door when it drove off.

Lea Michele’s talent is incredibly high, while her fugliness quotient (at least recently) is very low. Thus, her talent and her fugliness are inversely proportional. For poor Ms. Spears, the exact opposite is true.
It was meant to be complimentary to Ms. Michele, whose versions of pretty much every cover she’s done for “Glee” I’ve preferred to the originals.

And for best, Carrie Underwood, and believe me, it’s NOT personality, because I’ve never seen more of her than photos on GFY. But her gorgeous gold dress shows that you can be sexy and decollete without auctioning your sternum and stomach and straying into Crack Whoredom.

A lot of fug and not much fab in the pickin’s. For fab it was between Kaley and Miley for me. (Oh you kids and you “ey” names… *is 19* Ahem.) Kaley looked STUNNING but I so did not recognize her until her show was mentioned. So my vote went to Miley for looking super adorable and age appropriate; plus managing to pull off the bandage-dress AND the long sleeves. Quite an accomplishment, miss. Hats off.

Best dress vote was super difficult because all of them had some no-no in their looks. That’s why I voted Lea Michele, she was probably the only one with best overall look! Pink was great, too, but too much Brigitte Nielsen look-a-like going on.
I wouldn’t have put Lady Gaga into the poll. We all know she’s never going to show up in a dress that any of us would call “normal”. I was surprised not to have Heidi Klum in the worst dress poll. She looked like a shiny sausage that was pricked with a fork to let the fat seep out.

Wow, given the range and volume of options in Worst, Brit’s 31% is impressive.
I went with hers because there was nothing right about the fit, the material, the styling (WHAT styling?), the color…and because she needs something so much better than this.
From unknowns I EXPECT nazy, and it’s not that it’s unexpected from BritBrit, per se – it’s just that I keep hoping she’ll learn. Or that her stylist will learn. Is homegirl even employing a stylist? If so, she should be UNemploying said stylist ASAP.
Lea Michele got my best vote because she was just SO on-point and adorable. The dress is fun, it’s wild enough for the Grammy’s but not over the top, and it looks GREAT on her. The disappointment, the utter misery at trawling through the best dressed list – most were dodgy and some were hideous. I think my brain has shorted, or else everyone else is at fault and I am right (maybe?) because I thought the worst dressed list frequently better than the best dressed.
I voted Britney as worst dressed because the bizarre lacy overlay actually made her look unclean, as if she were covered in insects and specks of dirt.
Carrie Underwood got my vote for best dressed because I’ve never seen such a simple, normal-looking (even unimaginative) dress be so elegant and classic. I just wish the image on this site didn’t make the shadows of the dress look blue, because the dress was most definitely pure gold in color, with no weird iridescence that is suggested in the photo here.
