Met Ball Well Played: Diane Kruger (Plus Pacey)

First and most importantly: Pacey is wearing an ascot:

He looks so charming and European! I wish he’d sort of fluff it out a bit — “Fluff your ascot, Pacey” sounds slightly dirty — but as ever, we adore him and find him (and them) charming the extreme.

Let’s talk about Diane. I have been thinking about this all week, and I like it. It’s VERY minimal — Calvin Klein, I believe, which makes sense because she’s the new face of their new perfume — which is nice to see on her after the last awards season, which she spent in a lot of ruffles and hoo-ha. It was certainly often very NICE hoo-ha, but a clean look is rather refreshing. Shall we look at the back?

I actually like the back even better. It’s so SEVERE, but it doesn’t make HER look severe, which is quite a feat. Very classy. Round of applause. Thanks for the palate cleanser, Diane. High five for the Pacey thing. Now, carry on.
