SO many lovely dresses! I’ll take the entire Lela Rose collection, please!
For the blue & white Naeem Khan, I suggest Jessica Chastain.
Oh my gosh. Those firey orange dresses are unbelievable. I LOVE. And that polka dot one is awesome as well. I wish I had some place to go that I could wear such amazing pieces. And of course, the funds to purchase such amazing pieces.
Those two orange Naeem Khan dresses made me gasp. Out of control.
Really, who DOESN’T want a sparkly caftan?
I am so covetous right now, it’s painful. ##1, 23 and 24 are just so lovely and pretty. #7 is so chic. #12 would be all kinds of great if the panels were not sheer, but an opaque nude. #14 is absurdly Tinkerbell, but oddly tempting and would be seriously irresistible if it was toned down in volume (literally) just a bit. Likewise, I like the fabrics in #3 and the bodice, but would tweak so it’s just not sooo much. #16 would be quite lovely if the dress just continued down all the way, instead of cutting to sheer. The #29 dresses are pretty but the silhouettes are a little conventional for me…would like to see that fabric deployed in a more sleekly modern way.
But my personal favorites are definitely #18 and #34. For me, they’re just the bee’s knees (though I recognize they’re not for everyone).
#38 is for Cameron Diaz! I hope she just lives in it for a week. She’d look so fab.
Love love love that black and white striped gown. And maybe this makes me some kind of rube, but for the life of me I do not understand why anyone likes Rodarte.
Agreed. I know it’s supposed to be Very High Fashion, but it mostly looks like clothes made of scraps while drunk.
I’m wondering why Reem Acra didn’t just go ahead and send Carrie Underwood down the runway in the Tinkerbell dress? You know she’ll show up in this sooner or later, somehow making it look like Honey Boo Boo and the Tooth Fairy collided in mid-air and the debris rained down on her.
I was picturing Taylor Swift myself.
My money’s on Swift, too. Put Underwood in one of the hot oranges from Naeem Khan.
Reem Ackra dresses are all lovely – even the tinkerbell one on a young starlet (Hailie Stanfield or Elle Fanning) – except of course, that swath of gold dust think. Way too naked
Otherwise, I loved nearly everyone one of the cocktail or day lenght dresses. I want them all.
Now these are more like it…dresses that real people could wear, (provided one has the bank account to do so)! I especially liked all of the Lela Rose outfits, so lovely.
What happened to the models other leg in the first Rodarte dress? Love everything in the Oscar de la Renta collection. Jenny Packham surprised me. I see Kate in the polka dot dress soon. Reminds me of a Catherine Walker day dress Diana wore.
Yep, that dotted Packham has Cathy Windsor written all over it.
And then everyone will lose their minds trying to figure out if she’s trying to hide a kid inside that knot on the front.
omg, love this:
This is somebody’s “FIRST” dress — said in the same tone I imagine in my head every time I read a blog post where the first twelve people in the comments all shout FIRST because they think they won.
So much pretty! I wish I had the cash, the venue, and the figure to wear a whole lot of these. It’s nice to see that somebody remembers that the people are supposed to wear the clothes, not the other way ’round.
I think we’ll see a variation of the Naeem Khan orange dresses on Michelle Obama: the one-shoulder top with the long skirt. And she would look great in it.
You beat me to that one (everyone is beating me today!) – FLOTUS would rock that dress.
Nipple Sunrise – perfect call.
All the orange is spectacular and weirdly makes me thirsty. ??
Love the Oscar de la Renta stripes. Looks like what Marc Jacobs was wanting to achieve but missed when he sent in the clowns and the refs.
#36 in a shorter length would look great on Eva Longoria.
I think #27 should be worn by Betty Draper (as betty draper, not january jones). she would be gorgeous in it!
I actually really loved almost all of the first half of these dresses! beautiful. and normal(ish) enough that real people could wear them!
Dear Jenny Packham,
Could you please make me that polka-dot dress in maternity sizing? Thank you.
Love, Openroses
Jessica Biel has go to be panting over the Zac Posen wedding dress for the Oscars (or for a quick Ralph’s run perhaps). Also, I thing olivia Munn should wear the pink Oscar de la Renta gown (not the Bebe knockoff!). The color would be fantastic on her, and the shape would show off her figure — she seems to always wear things that make her look boxy, and boxy she is not.
Catherine Zeta-Jones, or Jennifer Connelly, or Zoe Saldana for the orange Naaem Khan dresses? They would be fantastic in these with their great skin and black hair. I think SWINTON could rock those caftans. And #30, that one is for me. I love it very much.
The dark Naeem Khan with the white medallions would also be great on Michelle Obama.
The blue & white Naeem Khan? Kerry Washington or SWINTON!
Never. EVER. thought I’d pick something for both of them.
But I suspect Kate Bosworth will wear it and look “eehhhhhh”
Love!!!!
“Coco Rocha closed it in this, at a slow glide. It would be so exceptional if somebody dared to wear that on the red carpet.” Really? Giant lopsided boob-bow and all? Her right breast looks like an E cup, while the left looks like a B. And the frills are like some seldom seen amorphous sea-creature of the underworld (in other words, Marchesa-esque).
for slide 27 (?), I’m guessing Elizabeth Olson instead of Elizabeth Moss
Yes the dresses etc are lovely, but HOLY COW Cray Cray Naomi Campbell is still modelling? That’s kind of scary. I thought that she would have assaulted some poor dresser with a mobile phone by now?

Nice to see Naeem Kahn using some fleshier models. Bravo. And I really liked that navy Rodarte dress with the gold “chastity belt”.
I hope you get pics from Sass & Bide in London.
I can see Claire Danes in the blue skirted Naeem Khan. Maybe streamline the skirt a wee bit, but that colour would be gorgeous on her.
the short, shiny Jenny Packhams are totally K-Stew.
I want those Lela Rose shoes. Especially the ones with the bright blue heels.
That is all.
Sooooo many pretty dresses but I would walk on glass for 3 and/or 7….then I would twirl around the house in them with my bandaged and bloodied feet and be terribly happy about it all
