Royalpalooza 2011 Fug or Fab Carpet: Cat Deeley

I just started watching So You Think You Can Dance this season and while there are parts of it that make me sort of crazy (namely, the same parts I fast-forward through on Idol – blah blah blah I grew up in a small town blah blah blah my parents both died in a coal mining accident blah blah blah my doctor told me if I didn’t dance I only had two months to live blah), Cat Deeley IS a really good host. Charming, and also totally on top of things, and sometimes she dresses crazy and the other week, they actually BEDAZZLED HER CLAVICLE (clavdazzled?) so that’s always fun. (FOX also spelled her name wrong in their chyrons two weeks in a row, so she apparently also has a really, really laid-back agent.)

She also posed like this in all the shots in our photo sub, which makes me think one of her arms is REALLY heavy or she’s resisting, with all her might, the urge to deal with a nasty wedgie:

Royalpalooza 2011: Fug Polo Lawn, Jennifer Love Hewitt??

I admit that I was INCREDIBLY concerned about this when I first saw it:

As weas, given the number of emails and tweets we got about it, everyone in Fug Nation who happened to be flarging around on the computer when the Royals Polo Extravaganza photos started coming in on the wires. The dress is totally fine albeit maybe a hair too small, but these things happen. The shoes might be very cute. The bag looks like it got shrunk in the wash. BUT THE HAIR MY GOD GIRL WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU HAVE YOU PUT TOGETHER SOME KIND OF COCKER SPANIEL-INSPIRED PIGTAIL THING NO HONEY NO NO.

It’s a Friday, it’s our birthday (more on that later), and it’s almost the start of a very much needed long weekend here in the US. And we haven’t had Diane and Pacey on the blog for at LEAST…a week? How have we all muddled through, I ask you? Anyway, I continue to be SUPER JEALOUS of the fact that they seem to be spending the summer going to parties in Paris. Let’s stuff down the roiling envy and look at their outfits.

Who Fugged It Better? Kate Walsh v. Lisa Snowden

First off: I used to LOVE Kate Walsh. Addison was so awesome on Grey’s Anatomy. And then I sort of — well, I didn’t ever DISLIKE her, but I guess I downgraded to neutral. But that was temporary. I love her again. Part of that is because I think she’s actually a good actress. Part of it is because I think Private Practice is better than Grey’s right now. It’s not as good as Grey’s USED to be, but it’s a truly solid procedural and it’s well-acted and also Taye Diggs is there. But Walsh is also seriously kind of hilarious on Twitter and it turns out that’s an excellent way to win me back: being entertaining in 140 characters or less. So, to sum up Kate Walsh: I like her, she’s got great hair, I want her to be happy, if we were stuck together in an elevator I am pretty sure we’d end up friending each other on Facebook.

And she wore this on Extra the other day:
