It’s so cute when Padma thinks it’s 1993.
After all, I’m so young and unwrinkled in 1993. I could totally be talked into this! Well, except for the fact that even in 1993, wearing a duvet as a dress would get you the side-eye.

“Please, pack your Fugs and go”
Ha!!!
It looks like her pelvis is slowly melting, but It’s a great pattern for a maxi dress.
Dude, in a solid or a less-tapestry-ish pattern, and with different shoes, I could totally roll with this. Is the shrug my fave? No. But still — A for effort, C- for execution.
The colors are nice on her.
And honestly? The early 90′s were so much more comfy, fashion wise, than today. I’d be happy to resurrect nice little swing floral dresses with tights and Doc Martens…well, okay, I still have Doc Martens, those wouldn’t need resurrecting…
Whoops, everything 90s is back again, and this outfit is cute. Not the 2004 shoes, though.
What cracks me up is the stuff they put her in on the show. Someone has a strange idea of how we dress in Texas!
What lunatic would put such droopy folds of extra fabric at a lady’s waist and hips? And why is she wearing boots with her swimsuit cover? And don’t you think a big chunky turquoise necklace would work with the duvet cover fabric?
The thing is, if you watch Top Chef, this would probably be a Well Played compared to half of the stuff she wears. Either the show has a terrible stylist, she has a terrible stylist, or she has terrible taste.
I wish you did Fug the Show for Top Chef! Her outfits are positively nuts and yet try really, embarrassingly hard to fit the theme of the challenge and to be somehow “Texan.” And they are always too revealing. It’s a killer combo.
She’s thin enough that I think she can deal with the extra fabric! If she was just wearing the dress (sans shrug) with cute strappy turquoise high heels, it would be fab!
Well, since she usually wears things so revealing you can see the outline of her navel, I guess this is … an improvement?
As a Top Chef fan, I’ve gotta say that Padma’s outfits this year have been a deep well of unmined fug this year!! She’s been in one unflattering jumpsuit or romper after another. She used to dress beautifully; I wonder if there was a stylist change.
They’re making her look TEXAN, duh! (Totally kidding, I find it offensive that someone thinks we actually dress like that.)
I love this dress! I just wish she was wearing it in spring, with different shoes.

the shrug and shoes aren’t doing it for me…that being said, i’m pretty sure she’s at this designer’s show (costello tagliapietra)…never been to fashion week, but isn’t that what they do? everyone wears a bandage dress to herve leger, and damn is that look tireddddd
She’s so pretty it’s hard to fug this at all. A paper bag would look good on her.
I…actually don’t have too much of a problem with this. I think I would have preferred more delicate shoes with it and maybe less extraneous material about the waist, but otherwise, it would give me spasms to see somebody wearing it on the street.
