Am I spying a little root regrowth? The MUST means shes pregnant right? RIGHT? (Totally j/k. I have roots right now and Im no where nearly as busy as she is. )
I’d love to see her with her natural color. I’m really into dark hair at the moment, and pregnant or not, it’s good to go a little darker in winter.

can someone help with the practicalities of belts over coats – does it not look odd that you have to take the belt off before unbuttoning your coat? Where do you put it when the coat is off? Does the belt (not attached to the coat) not start shifting round as you move? Am I over thinking this?

LOVE that coat. It’s such a fab design and color. It’s undoubtedly conservative, but as a member of the Firm, it’s what you have to expect. I commend her on nearly always managing to look appropriate, and yet stylish and not matronly.
And yes, her hair is gorgeous as always. Did she sign a pact with Satan for that hair? I need to know these things.
I would use Pantene if she told me it would make my hair look like hers. I would smear bacon fat on my hair if it would make it look like hers. Then I’d have to steer clear of the neighborhood dogs, but it’d be worth it.

The Union Jack flag is lying flat on the ground. Is that cool in Great Britain? I know some old blowhards down at the VFW who would have apoplexy if that happened to the Stars and Stripes.
I suspect the little kid dropped it in her excitement.
Plus Union Jack is not protected by law in any way, the way American flag is.
It’s called ‘Union Jack’ only when it’s on a ship. At all other times it’s just ‘The Union Flag’. Random piece of information.
No, its not a problem to drop the flag on the floor in the UK-I was very surprised to hear that it was when I moved to the USA. I got told off by a complete stranger because one of my kids had a tracksuit (bought in the UK) on with an approximation of an American flag on the pockets and she said it was offensive to her nation because it didn’t have the right number of stars on it.. You learn something every day…
I’m sorry! Not all Americans are xenophobic nuts.

That plumb colour is gorgeous. Between this and the darker red she wore recently, it’s clear she pulls off “fall” extremely well. (And summer, spring and winter too…) I really like how the dark contrasts with the pop of colour from the dress underneath.
As much as we all want to be Kate and princesses, it must suck to have to do this instead of be with your husband at the funeral of a significant person in his life. At least he got to go.
Different note, I always look so bunchy in coats, I’m amazed at how svelte she always looks even in bulkier clothing.
That’s because she’s stick thin! Girl needs to eat a burger.
They are so mean to her over at Bohomoth, which makes me mad. Does anyone here read that site? They always call her choices “hiddy” and lately have been commenting on her having botox and fillers in her face. What does Fug Nation think?
I don’t read that site, but suffice to say, I look at a LOT of pictures of Middleton and she is very expressive, facially, so I don’t she’s had Botox. She doesn’t look like she’s screwed with her face to me.
Her coats are just gorgeous. My winter coat is essentially a down sleeping bag with arms; perfectly appropriate for my climate, but not nearly as pretty.
Her waist size is 22-24″. I can’t believe we are still talking about the bump. Lovely coat, great color!
Her waist looks like it could be a 20″! She is sooooo tiny in the waist! Or maybe it is just emphasized because she has no hips. Hmmm.
The coat looks great! Her coat wardrobe must be amazing. I want a glimpse! I also wish we could see the dress underneath, but I like the pop of color with the darker coat.

Her coat is so gorgeous! Love it a lot. However…when I look at her, I always am dying with envy at her itty bitty teeny tiny waist. It almost looks fake it is so small!

I like how she paired it with that dress… the wine and plum looks delicious!
On the whole like everything Kate, I have no opinion on it either way.
Which is perhaps how royal brides are required to be.
I think I feel more or less the same — “yes, she looks fine,” but I’m never particularly struck by it or longing to buy the same thing.
That said — is it the early hour of this appearance? She seems to have lightened up on the heavy-handed black eyeliner (which is the one thing Kate that usually makes me sigh a bit).
I too noticed the lighter eyeliner, and approve.
Let’s face it – the woman (or her stylist) knocks it out of the park almost every time.
Let’s also face it that if we had her style budget we’d ALL have hair like that!

I also am considering kidnapping her stylist, because whoever has been dressing her is pitching ALL of the homeruns lately. All of them. I’m really looking forward to seeing her in super-fancy evening wear sometime soon, because we haven’t had a chance to see her all uber-dressed up lately.

Wow — The Firm really knocked it out of the park getting Kate to be a future Queen of England alongside her husband. It’s like she was born to do this job. And she does it so flawlessly looking perfect or almost perfect everytime.
It must be awful to be so closely scrutinized all the time, but she does it SO VERY WELL and I really admire her for that.
You can tell that she and William both love each other to pieces.
Another here coveting the coat. I don’t think I could get away with the belt, being a fair bit, uh, broader in the beam, but the coat itself is so beautifully proportioned that I think it would work on a variety of sizes.
The belt has me seriously considering the drastic steps of diet and exercise. I might want that even more. Hmm, gorgeous belt, or fried eggs on toast and snoozing with the newspaper? Decisions, decisions…
These colors are fabulous on her! And the boots work with both the dress and the coat, too. True, she’s just about always Well Played, but I think this look is particularly terrific, even for her.
I would kill for the buckle alone, much less the whole coat.

And of course…. The Hair.
I have a coat that color, and it goes with almost everything in my wardrobe! Who knew that eggplant was such a versatile color? It goes with blues, reds, whites, blacks, yellows, peaches, reds, everything that isn’t in the green family.
That color also makes my pale skin and light red hair glow, like it’s making her brown hair and tan skin glow. See? Eggplant goes with all colors and all coloring!
Kate has the tiniest waist. It’s like a Disney princess waist, which is fitting given her circumstances.
