This dress probably looked OK when she was standing up. Unfortunately, so many celebs and their stylists forget to do a sit test for interview show outfits. How many times have you seen starlets nervously gluing their hands to their exposed thighs as they realize their goodies are falling out when they sit down on camera in a super short skirt?
It didn’t but all my screen grabs were blurry.
It’s also bulgy when she’s sitting. And we all know how super-fit Berry is, so that is clearly the fault of the dress.

Agree. The dress probably looks much better when she is standing. Sitting, it makes her girls look too big and droopy and just overexposed in general. And her mic looks like a big tick attached itself to her collarbone.
I was thinking the same thing – that I bet it looks great standing up. But sitting down, and with a mic that looks like it might be a large tumor (say, if you’re watching the TV in bed without your glasses on, and you have to fumble around in the nightstand for said glasses to make sure you’re seeing what you think you’re seeing – hypothetically speaking)… it’s just not good.
Doesn’t she get it? All she has to do is smile and cameras melt. She doesn’t have to try.
My goodness, we are seeing a lot of boob here. Just too darn much. I’m not even sure how this would look standing — it’s just so naked. The illusion netting is almost funny. Please, Halle, you are one of the most beautiful women in the world. Just wear a simple, boob-covering LBD and some killer shoes and you’re all set.
I definitely want to send her on some kind of self-love retreat. She is stunning beyond words but mostly I just feel so uncomfortable for her because she always seems so desperate to prove it.
And stop doing that stupid Jersey Shore guy thing with your hair! There are plenty of other ways to wear a pixie that would look age-, gender-, and occasion-appropriate, and would be PRETTY. This is not among them.

Boring, it might be; as she has worn it like this for a long time. But, Jershey Shore dudes did not create that trend. She was wearing her hair this way, long before the guidos (no offense by that name, as I love a guido) made it big on TV.

And just a thought, but isn’t she still a makeup rep? Good grief, she should have better people. Her face should not be that hard to mess up with makeup. I get that she likes a nude lip, and it works for her most of the time, but this looks…. tired. And since I assume she’s wearing makeup (a ton, probs), I completely blame the makeup and NOT the face. I can’t either. I mean, my god – that’s a dress that brings the eye down to her chest. Even with that gorgeous face.
The dress itself is very nice but made for a small-busted woman. On Halle Berry, the look leans toward cheap and desperate. She has certainly not embraced the “less is more” fashion philosophy lately.
Guess those rumors about her and Martinez splitting up are true? Because if this isn’t screaming, “Hey, I’m available!,” I don’t know what it’s supposed to be saying.
Wow, talk about pulling back the curtain on the great and powerful Oz! In any other dress, her chest area looks spectacular (and she, in general, looks spectacular) and results in all the superlatives about looking so great for her age. This dress clearly emphasizes that Ms. Berry, like us all, is fighting gravity — and not winning.
We GET it, Halle Berry. You still look young and amazing. You don’t have to beat us over the head with it to make that point. (In fact, I think that’s having the opposite effect.)

Yes, the hit-and-run is always there at the back of my mind, too. I also feel a bit divided about fussing over someone’s amazing beauty when we all know they’ve had cosmetic surgery. I can’t do the ‘yeah her nose is fake, but give me the number of her surgeon!” thing. I know this sounds judgmental – but I haven’t been able to resolve this one in my head at all.
Oh come on, Halle. You’re super hot, we all get it. Now leave something for the imagination, you’re actually a lot sexier when you do it!

In terms of the dress, it actually looks like a very interesting concept even if it can’t handle Halle’s boobs when she sits.
Grown women really don’t need to be modest in their dress. That sounds so regressive, Puritanical, out-dated chastising. Can’t it be that she just likes to show her curves? She already knows she doesn’t have to, but she wants to. Not a problem for me.
Showing her curves is one thing. Wearing a dress in which the world can see almost her entire breast on a network tv show is pushing the envelope, in my,puritanical opinion. And just because we can doesn’t mean we should. It’s degrading to rely on our breasts to get attention.
Showing her curves is fine if she carries it off, in this case the dress is wearing her. Would a bolero be frumpy? How about a Chiarro boa? I love boas! Who could sit down in this dress?

Ok, I really don’t like the dress in general, but it’s particularly terrible for a talk show appearance. There’s definitely a difference – or SHOULD be – between red carpet/movie premiere/party looks and talk show looks. (That difference is mostly about standing vs sitting). And Halle apparenly does not understand that.
This dress enables the viewer to imagine exactly what Halle Berry would look like if she were sitting there naked. Her boobs would sit exactly that way, a little saggy, no support. Guys probably love it, but I find it kind of gross.

No problem with a grown woman flaunting it, but I agree the dress is wearing her. The bodice presents as one long, vertical rectangle over each breast so just draws the eye downnnnn…. Something with support would have been much more attractive.
For someone who once shot off her mouth about how her looks never got her anything, she sure is trying awfully hard to be as naked as possible on network TV.
When I see someone of Ms. Berry’s stature in this kind of desperation (look at me, look at me) outfit it makes me feel Seth McFarlane was right on mocking the movie industry boob parade. But its one thing when you choose, or have it foisted on you, to do it in a film but when you do it to yourself, in an attempt to seek publicity so people will go see your new and I’m guessing dreadful film, who you gonna blame? You sure can’t get high and mighty or correctly take offense at some ribbing that hits the mark oh so much.
If I had such a gorgeous decolletage and even more spectacular rack, I’d have no compunctions about letting the rest of the world know, too. Beauty like that should be shared and enjoyed by all. I don’t care if she’s crazy or not–she’s beautiful and I like the chance to appreciate that.
