I think that she was going for a Halle Berry inspired look (you know: black, tight, sheer, and with lots of flesh showing but at the same time still covered) but she failed. It looks cheap, and baggy and too matchy with that shoes.
And her hair looks like a reaaaaaallly bad Tyra-over!

The way the non-sheer panels are shaped, it really looks like her right breast is trying to run away. There’s a sort of cartoon speed-lines aspect to that sheer/opaque nonsense. Not flattering to anyone at all, ever. Except possibly the Roadrunner.
Disastrous dress but can we agree that this girl hit the genetic jackpot here? She’s quite beautiful. I’m pretty jealous of her bone structure, anyway.

The weird cut and the fact that it doesn’t even fit properly makes her look kind of paunchy, which she isn’t at all. She played a club I used to work at, she’s super tiny.

I’m going to be the voice of dissent (not about the dress — I don’t like that at all) and say I totally dig her hair. I know it’s not everyone’s taste, but I think she’s rocking it. I love seeing a woman go short and own it (unlike some who go short and you can see only regret in their eyes which makes the entire look miserable). She pulls off short hair really well as well as the sort of oddity of the cut/style.
And, yes, how one goes from Fassbender to Penn is a question I’ve mulled over for quite some time.

She has the genetic blessing in the face, certainly. But my boobs didn’t lay down over on my chest until I was a breast-feeding 34 year old. Zoe here could not pass the pencil test. (Place pencil beneath your boob. If the pencil drops to the floor, you pass. If your boob flaps over and holds up the pencil, fail. )

this dress is the worst. and pointy toed, see through, toe cleavage shoes? vom. so outdated and gross. her hair i like, but i think it could have been styled better. and the dress is atrocious.
also, i’ve noticed that commenters have been generalizing a little too much lately- calling all tattoos a mistake (or in other threads, trashy, a sign of stupidity, etc.) and also, all short haircuts masculine or ugly. i’m all for poking a little fun at terrible tattoos and haircuts because lord knows they exist and they are fun to mock, but these generalizations are a little hurtful and cruel…i don’t know if i’m being too sensitive, i just thought it would be worth putting out there.

“Failing” the pencil test means you need a good bra! I annoys me when a pretty young woman does everything she can to look bad. I think the hair’s okay, I mean the dress. It does not flatter someone who is quite attractive.

The only thing I know about Zoe Kravits is that she was until recently dating sweet, sweet Fassbender! And is another example of how he is ONLY down with the swirl! The man knows his own type.
Oh for heaven’s sake. Boobs come in all shapes and sizes… Some are just naturally more, er, “down to earth” than others. We’re not here to police natural boobs now, are we?
Meanwhile, the dress is fug and I can’t imagine who it WOULD look good on. The length is awkward and the sheer goes right to her underbelly. I don’t think those cutaway armhole thingies ever look good either. They remind me of those tank tops that body builders wear.
