First of all, yes, that is Russell Simmons leaning out of frame — I have a tendency to forget they are dating until they show up somewhere holding hands and my mind is blown anew:
Is it weird that I kind of like this? Yes, yes, it kind of looks like it’s on backwards, and it sort of implies that her torso is a stage, and her boobs are the opening act, but…I don’t know. It’s sort of slinky and interesting and cape-like, and you know I love a cape, especially during Halloween season.

I wish I could have picked 2 things in the poll, because I think this dress is not working but I also had no idea they were dating and I can’t quite wrap my head around it.

not crazy about the draping, the neck looks almost ghastly old lady style cape then surprise midriff reveal – ehh – the skirt looks great until it does that weird puddle that looks tucked in on itself at the bottom, wish I had her hips, but. Very impressed that the dress and her lipstick don’t clash with the red carpet, the gradient of reds is almost pleasing. I think I’d even like it if it didn’t appear to fold in on itself at the bottom, like very very long harem pants or something. And she looks beautiful but there’s something offputting about the sort of “who me?” pose. Because who wears a dress like that and then goes “oh who, little old me?” at a photographer? but she does look beautiful.
Vaughn was the character played by Michael Vartan that Melissa’s character was married to on “Alias”! He was Jennifer Garner character’s CIA handler!
I like the dress. Bold red is always her best shade, and while the draping on this could easily go wrong, I think it actually hits the right balance of being slightly revealing but still classic.
A droopy satin sack, and sneakers with red carpet formal wear is tres gauche and so Jonah Brothers. I don’t want to admire the solar plexus or midriff, and I heartily second the statement that anything requiring industrial strength boob tape is poorly designed. And don’t the gaping sleeves make sideboob an inevitable reality?

I voted Fab because I like the dress…but I do wish her face wasn’t so shiny, with the high-necked red dress and red lipstick it’s a bit much.
Russell Simmons always dresses like Urkel (except his pants are long enough). It’s his schtick, so you kinda have to give him that. It’s like Diane Keaton with the gloves or Swinton with the lack of makeup.
I think Melissa George is allllllllmost carrying this off. Except. It does her boobs no favors. Where is that left one pointing? It’s like a lazy eye or something – so distracting.
