There are times when I don’t think I can write another word about Carrie Underwood. But she just keeps showing up, and it’s hard to ignore her. I’ll start with this: As much as I liked Taylor Swift’s nude dress this time, don’t you wish SHE would turn up somewhere in sassy blue, or fuchsia? Did Underwood steal the rainbow or something?

On one hand, this is totally Heidi to me. On the other, it looks like she stole it from Chloe Sevigny.
But both my hands agree that this is horrendously unflattering to a lady whom it should be hard to… unflatter. She looks like a fancy gift box that somebody left out in the rain.

Too much going on here for me, I think.
We’ve got sheer smockage, we’ve got long hanks of fringe, we’ve got a minidress underneath… at least the yellow color makes it interesting (if it were a black dress we’d all be in a coma right now), but how could this be better? Less fringe? MORE fringe? More lining, and maybe… a belt? I don’t know, but I do know this: I wish Kerry Washington wore her hair like this on Scandal, because the immobile flip they make her sport is starting to distract me. I don’t think it’s budged all year. Olivia Pope deserves something sassy, not stiff.

As Heather noted last week, Gwen really IS ageless. And she’s DEFINITELY going through a Madonna phase.
The most important question in all this is, does Taylor still own the across-the-street love nest in Hyannisport? Because the song I want to hear is the one about when she brings one of the One Direction kids home to it and Conor Kennedy gets het up and there is a mighty clash of mop-tops.
