When I told Heather I was going to take this look, I almost inadvertently said, “I’m going to do Renee Zellweger.”
And I think that’s because this is how Renee Zellweger OUGHT to look, albeit, of course, much younger. Namely: relaxed and not squinty, with a super-flattering blonde pixie ‘do, and in a perfectly fitted strapless cocktail number. Renee hardly ever looks that way anymore — and by “hardly,” I basically mean “never,” because….well, I don’t know what happened to her, but we all know it isn’t exactly working. Whereas hopefully this is the start of a really good trend for Michelle Williams. It’s certainly the first time in a long time that she hasn’t gone out in something that’s prompted me to say, “what is is this doing to her BOOBS?” She doesn’t look PREDICTABLE, but nor does she look like she’s trying to hard, like she raided Zooey Deschanel’s closet, or like her stylist (or anyone) hates her. She just looks GOOD. Keep it up, kid.
