But apparently her outfit at Australia’s ARIA ceremony in fact bespeaks a crippling national underskirt shortage. Those poor, brave people, soldiering forth without proper linings. Perhaps they are the real heroes.

In Tom and Alex’s defense, they ran a competition on their breakfast radio show where people had to suggest who they dressed as for the ARIA’s.

I have to say, Tom and Alex are hilarious and good on them for committing to their “outfits.” I guess it only makes sense for us Aussies who have seen the music video about a trillion times.
That song’s pretty big in (most of) Europe as well, so I got the reference right away. It’s true that they might not be as well known in the US though.

I firmly believe that Zoe Badwi’s singing was the reason for the catapult attack, but after this post I think that her outfits might be the reason for future attacks! Jasmine Rae looks like she is about 3 feet tall. Not sure if this is a trick of the dress or she really is super short.
Delta G. is, for all intents, naked. But her dress would be a lot better if the beige liner was the same length as the overlay.

Jasmine Rae is very short as in genetically so.
She won a country music talent contest a couple of years ago so to be up for an ARIA already is an incredible achievement.

I’ve lived in Australia for nearly 10 years now, and watching their celebrities dress up is a source of ongoing amusement for me. It’s like they see a dress and go, “Oh I like that! But can we make it shiny? And cut a slit up to there? And make it sheer? And more shiny again?” LOL love Aussies, but damn they have some tacky ass dress sense.

Okay, I get it – I forgot that it’s almost summer Down Under, so most of this is…okay, none of this is appropriate, but I can understand the first couple of dresses and the shirtlessness. (That video was kind of awesome, by the way.)
That said: Holy shit, how did Dannii Minogue exist in that thing? I was breaking out in heat rash on the other side of the Earth just looking at her. No wonder Kylie went out in her nightgown – it was the only way to balance that out.
Yeah well, we Aussie don’t really ‘get’ formal dressing, not much call for being formal/dressed up/or glam…………and the ARIAS certainly aren’t very dressy.
Casual is our forte, we do great sporty/beachy/fun in the sun kind of looks – and great swimwear.
Trying to remember, I can’t recall ever owning a full length dress, never wear heels or stockings, and I live in shorts – even for work.

Also, I’m not hugely surprised to see Delta struggle to dress herself? The fact that she’s 27 and dating a 19 year old surely shows there’s some kind of impairment to her judgement already.
There’s not just an underskirt shortage here, there’s a skirt shortage!! And the sad thing is, we actually do have good fashion, for some unknown reason when it comes to events of any kind everyone seems to freak out and go for tiny shiny lycra numbers and horrible shoes…I mean, yes, it is summer, and yes, it is bloody hot, but surely your nether regions don’t require *quite* that much ventilation?? Don’t even talk to me about what passes for ‘racewear’ in Brisbane where I live!!

It’s almost summer yes (tomorrow!!!! yeah!!!), you should know that our Sydney springs can be stupidly hot and humid. It was 90 and humid the other day and as early as September we were having 90 degree days. Then the weather went to shit and it’s has rained and been as low as 57.
As you can see not only obsessed w fuggery but also the weather.
