It’s Friday. Lock up your wallets someplace safe and then let’s do some serious shoe ogling.

So, does Hayden Panetierre have on some chipping gold toe nail polish… or should someone send her some fungus ointment?
I thought the same thing at first. I think, though, that she is wearing that “shatter” polish- looks like gold shatter over black. Sister needs to rethink- it really does look like she’s got something infected going on.
Yep, first thing that caught my eye as well. I like Aniston’s coordination of polish to shoe color, but bare nails really seem preferable in open toes shoes. And some of the shoes are too darn big for the wearer.
Agreed. Not a smart choice for a nail color. Gross.
I was coming here to SAY that! What. UP.
Tinactin®, anyone?
Exactly my thoughts. Looks fungus like but I’m sure it’s not! Doubt that was the look she was going for.
I also had to take a closer look to make sure it is not fungus.
Nicole’s shoes are insanely cute, but they’re at least a size too big — surely borrowed for the occasion…
Agree.
I want Nicole’s Loubs very, very badly. They are gorgeous, and I love the strap across the ankles. But considering that Loubs START at $750-ish, I’ll just have to admire them from afar.
First – those on Shaolin Woodsley (or whatever her name is) are hideous.
Second – why do all the shoes appear either too big or too small?
That was my thought exactly! Most of them look way too big, except for the pinchy ones in the 2nd slide.
Thank you… I was begining to feel as a man that I had no taste (something that I’m sure is not true) and no sense of fit. I am much relieved.
Woodsley – hideous.
Busy – busy.
Hayden – fungus
Sizing-wrong.
Kat – I was going to ask something similar. What the hell is up with Hayden’s toes? If that’s polish, it’s hideous. If it’s not polish, it’s even more hideous.
I had to do a doubletake at Hayden P’s toenails. So nasty looking, but I’m sure the shatter effect is cute in person. Shailene Woodsley’s Diors are TOO FREAKING TWEE and this is coming from someone who owns hot pink ballet slippers with sequined toes and wears them to work. just..one less bow and we’re good. And for the love of god don’t wear them with a dress made of cotton candy.
Love Chloe Moretz’s shoes a lot. Does Jennifer Aniston have some kind of foot condition that requires her to only wear strappy sandals on formal occasions? Have we ever seen her wear a closed shoe? Curious.
The thing about Jennifer, whether you love her or hate her, is that she has really pretty feet. (I don’t like feet, so I notice this). And Jennifer – well, she’s REALLY good at displaying what looks good on her.
So no, I doubt we’ll ever see her in a closed shoe.
(Of course, she may just like open shoes, as do I, even though I do NOT have pretty feet.)
Loved those Balenciagas on Jennifer Aniston! So sexy and cute with the buckles. The nail polish color is interesting as well – I guess it’s a taupe? Is that the new gray in nail polish trends?
You are so right! When I saw the slide, the first thing I thought was “Damn! I wish my feet looked that cute.”
Really? I don’t like her feet CONSTANTLY on display, plus the bunched up toes, plus that god awful toe ring. I really hate toe jewelry – so 1997 / India-yoga-fascination / Stefani / henna blergh …
Heather, Nordstrom’s has the Ralph Laurens at 40% off a gazillion here: http://goo.gl/LLUi3.
i know a lot of people say this but i would gladly exchange my firstborn for Nicole’s Loubs…
All of these look tortuous. I especially like the way Anniston’s ankle is contorted. Men should be required to wear these, especially those who design them.
In close up shots like these, you can really see how much these insane heels throw everyone’s weight forward and off balance.
Word. Look at these shoes and tell me how they’re much different from foot binding.
I loved your no shoes are worth a whole month’s rent sentiment, Heather! Maybe it’s because I can’t afford shoes like one third of my rent money, but I agree wholeheartedly!
Surfed here to comment about the Hayden’s fungus toes but I see that topic is already covered. Well done, fug community!
I love Jamie King’s shoes so much!
Yikes! i need a pedicure stat.
Agree we comments re the polish: too-matchy- and at high risk for being mistaken as black toe.
Thanks muchly for the Friday shoe-porn!
Shoes are never monotonous.
xxx
On board with the many who are questioning Hayden Panettiere’s pedicure choice. As for Chloe Moretz’s Calvin Klein shoes, whether they fit or not, I don’t want to see those on a 14-year-old.
My first thought as well.
As I can no longer wear heels of any kind (my feet hurt just thinking of them), I appreciate pretty, pretty shoes. While looking at these pictures, I can pretend that I’m wearing them and not Vibram Five fingers or my Keens (they are both unattractive but at least I’m not screaming in pain after 5 seconds).
However, Jenn-A’s toes look so uncomfortable although I know people have to grip toes to wear shoes that high. If she doesn’t watch out, her feet are going to look like my 93 year old grandmother’s where her toes are permanently bent from years and years of uncomfortable shoes.
I had the same thoughts. She looks like she’s developing hammer toe already… Ouch!
I love Jennifer Aniston’s shoes & Bridget Marquardt’s purse! And, I was disgusted at Hayden Pantywaist’s toe nails, which look like they’re covered in fungus… Who would willingly choose that vomit-inducing nailpolish? Eeeeewwwww!!!!!!!!!
the Hayden-toenail-fungus-WTF was why I popped in too. Can I just add that “shatter” is not generally a word I would want to associate with toenails either? Yee. Just thinking too hard about it makes me clench.
Re the too-big shoes we often see.
I remember once reading InStyle, and a celebrity style tip (I really don’t remember which celebrity) was that she would buy shoes at least a half-size too big and hold them in place with double-sided tape under her soles.
She said it avoided rubbing and was more comfortable if she had to stand for long periods – it avoided pinching when the feet inevitably start to swell after several hours.

Camilla’s shoes are boring and probably wildly expensive, but they do look more comfortable than the rest… Will there ever be a happy medium between comfort and aesthetic delight?
I love some of these heels but I find it hard to walk around being 6’4″ and that’s what happens when I put on heels like that. Makes me feel like a giraffe.
Not that I don’t love purses — because I do — but I don’t ever need my shoe monotony broken.
Re: shoe sizing: shoes are HARD, y’all. If you have a foot wider than “normal,” or narrower, your feet don’t fit right in the shoes. My feet are really, really narrow, and so they slide forward in whatever I’m wearing, especially as the night goes on and my feet get sweaty. Some people’s feet swell up, and then the shoes are too tight. It’s really hard to try on shoes and know what they’re going to look and fit and feel like after you’ve been wearing them for 6 hours. Like, who would buy shoes that are too small on purpose? Me, because my feet will slide forward and then they’ll look too big.
Sorry for the diatribe. Shoes are hard. But glorious.
You need to put a warning slide before showing gag-inducing atrocities like in the first photo. Those are so awful they make me want to kill kittens.
Does anyone have any idea what colour of nail polish Jennifer Aniston is wearing in that picture? I love it and want it.
OMG – Gillian’s chartreuse charmeuse (I know they’re not, but it sounded cute) shoes … I must have …
No problem recognizing Jennifer Aniston’s veiny feet.
Close approximation of the Ralph Laurens… not wedge but cute: http://bit.ly/v6VQ0Q
