Strangely, I was sort of expecting, or hoping, that this would be worse.
Instead, it’s just totally average, at best. But that’s still an awfully low bar for someone who’s as gorgeous as this. Unless that bar has mean drink specials and a hot mixologist, I don’t see the point of dwelling down there.

Her dress is the exact shade of the carpet!
Was it planned that way?!
I feel like there are some fit issues… She needs a little more room up top and to yank it up an inch, and it should be hemmed- it looks like she’s squatting or something. She’s so beautiful, and the color is great, but the fit isn’t doing her justice.
That dress would be great, if that ill-concieved flange of fabric weren’t obscuring her waist.
Does she realize the dress is making her look shapeless?
This lady’s stylist must hate her. And this lady must not have any taste of her own.
I wonder if she HAS a stylist, maybe she doesn’t want the attention?
I feel like this is a dress for someone with a Uterine Secret. (Not saying that she has one! Comment applies strictly to the dress.)
Her clothing choices continue to sadden me. This is made worse by the fact that it’s just so average. At least her face looks great, as it always does.
I like the color, but the waist isn’t fitting her in a flattering way. She has such an amazing body, why does this always happen?

There’s too much going on on the bodice, which is making her torso look shorter and wider. It also looks like it’s sitting too low. Don’t care for the color on her, either
Heavens to Elizabeth, did she borrow her shorter sister’s best bridesmaid dress? The bodice is far too low, with boobs akimbo and armpit overflow, and hips so tight it pulls!
Although an improvement, still NO!
Morena and Christina Hendricks must have the same stylist.
On a side-note, Christina was on the Late Late Show last week and probably looked the best I’ve ever seen her. I mean, it was a black lace dress, but it fit! I was so pleased.
What’s interesting is that Hendricks looked great in her clothes on Firefly as well, even the peasant outfit (but, boy, I still covet the tight pants/short jacket combo she wore in her second episode). And Baccarin’s outfits might have been costumes but they also fit beautifully and looked smashing. When I watched the show I thought it was the inherent beauty of the cast that made them look so good but now I’m thinking that costume designer was brilliant.
I don’t know who this woman is, but I predict that she will be George Clooney’s next girlfriend.
She routinely looked better in costume as a high-class space hooker on “Firefly.”
Her bridesmaid’s dress matches the floor.
I want to hike that thing up a couple of inches, make it a more flattering color, fix her makeup, and put a necklace on her. Then we might be okay.
I’m with you on all counts, except I think the colour’s actually really pretty on her. It doesn’t help that it matches the carpet, of course, but I prefer this to all the navys and dull greys she wears all the time. Also, I know her character is a wife and not much else, but she really needs to ditch the mom hair.
I wish she would either really grow her hair out or keep it super short. This length and style she seems to be favoring lately is one of the least attractive things she could do with her hair, I think.

this is lamentable and my husband (who attended the event/Homeland-fangirled all over her) said she changed into an ever more unforgettable white number for the after-party and all the fellas were pretty disappointed she didn’t turn up her Brazilliant heritage game whilst in town…

I think, silly as it sounds, that her problem is that she is too gorgeous. Her clothes will never measure up to her looks, unless she moves up to an A – list stylist/ups the budget for her evening wear. She did look great in her Firefly costumes, but they were over the top get ups that wouldn’t work in real life. She needs that kind of drama too match her amazing face and body and fun personality.
Hate the dress.. Hate the make up!
This is all wrong, but mainly I hate the hair. This woman is a beautiful star….not me picking the kids up from soccer practice. This hair costs $24 at Supercuts.
The top needs hoiking up, except that then the waist would be in the wrong place, so I guess it needs to be redesigned with a longer bodice. And without the strange waist flange. And something needs to be done about the hip wrinkles. And it should be a different color. And probably a different fabric. And the rest of the design needs some work.
Other than that, it’s fine.
The dress is bridesmaidy, yes, but the hair/makeup is very dated in my opinion. Very early 90s high school yearbook. Blech.
I think this is awful. It looks like she’s being devoured by a giant papaya. And her head seems to be miles away from the rest of her. She has such a long neck (such a perfectly cast alien lizard lady on V) that I’m not sure strapless is the way to go, ever. Especially without a necklace. Something needs to bridge her (enviable) head and her torso.

She looks like Sigourney Weaver right after she gets possessed in ‘Ghostbusters’ but not in a good way.
