I’m finding all the outfits strangely both quaint and outré at the same time. Did she always used to wear so much orange and yellow? This series has only just begun running locally here (I suspect from DVDs) so I am discovering the “body of work” of these actresses I’ve been seeing for so long here.
In the first couple of slides, isn’t that the same shirt Lemon had on in Hart of Dixie? Maybe there are budget problems at the CW on the DL and they had to raid the same high school theater department closet.

Blair outfits have been terrible lately. It’s like she’s trying to dress the way she thinks modern princesses dress and it ends up just being old, unflattering and just plain ugly.
As for Serena, I couldn’t bear the view of this way-too-long and cheap looking necklace.

I agree in re Serena’s hair. But then, I think this is how my mother thinks my hair looks, when my hair is much less fabulous and a lot more fluffy-wavy, so I’m also a little jealous.

Serena's 70s hair was basically the best her hair has ever looked on Gossip Girl. It's weird, because she has beautiful real-life hair. Do you remember Vanessa's bird's nest hair? And Jenny's… well, it wasn't even *hair.* It was, like, dozens of My Little Pony tails glued to her head. Dan currently appears to be attempting to camouflage a giant tumor or something with his poufy flowbie hair-do. Clearly, whoever does the hair on this show should have their curlers taken away and immediately shown the door.
I stopped watching this show when it started getting ridiculous, so I can’t tell you exactly when that was, but I miss the fashion because it was and still is always entertaining! And, God knows the best thing about “Gossip Girl” is Blair Waldorf, so it’s kind of disheartening to see dressing so fuglily and I’m consternated by the current plot… OMG!!!
