Fug the Show: Ringer, episode 12

Well, the Great Poor Twin Bangs Experiment of 2012 failed spectacularly last week, so we’re back to Sarah Michelle Gellar’s regular awesome hair/face combo, which is welcome. The title of this episode was, “What are you doing here, ho-bag?” It was brilliantly applicable to, I’d say, just about every other scene. There are SHENANIGANS AHOY, friend, and more gruffudding than you can quake a jaw at, so come on in and let’s ring this bell.

    I honestly hope the CW does not cancel this. It’s crazy soapy crack, and more fun than that over-the-hill hot mess Gossip Girl. (also, Ioan Gruffudd!)

    Will you catch up before the next episode, or will recaps be a week behind because of Fashion Week? I love this show, but I think I love the recaps more.

    BTW “Solomon” was not just from Save the last dance, he was on Cruel Intentions as well playing Cecile’s lover. I also read that the director of Cruel Intentions will direct an episode of Ringer.

    Are you going to recap episode 11 and 13 as well? This week they’re airing episode 14.

    This show sounds like ridiculous nonsense and I have no idea why I am not watching every episode TWICE. Have I just been seduced by the recaps or is it as wonderful as it seems? It really seems as though this show has everything I need, including Rich Twin’s outfits. Also, “rock on with your bad self” is a wonderful phrase I will use the next time I see someone dressed in leather/an excellent outfit.

      It is absolutely, wonderfully craptastic! The actors are WAY better than the material, but they are giving it their all. The secret to really great crappy soaps is for the actors to play it 100% straight, and this cast is fantastic at that! The recaps really make it worth watching, though.

    Loved this episode!!! So many crazy shenanigans and gruffudding… It is irresistible! I’ve been loving the winter attire also! Oh, the fabulous coats! And, I love these recaps!

    By the way, a couple of weeks ago, SMG appeared on Letterman and she had on what we think is a wig with bangs on the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14gxL7Te_0E But, after seeing her in this interview with Andy Cohen, I’m not so sure it is a wig: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhZy5IeByvY&feature=related So, is it a wig, a hairpiece, or her hair styled differently? I just don’t get it!

    I wish I had known that you were confused about the fingerprints of twins – I could have enlightened you years ago! But wait until your twins are about 6 or 7 – before that, the fingerprint ridges are very fine and hard to distinguish, so it’s hard to get a good set.

    I’m pleased to hear that at least one show is giving proper information about fingerprints!

    I don’t watch this show. I don’t need to watch this show! Nothing could compare to the recaps. Do we know if anyone associated with the show reads these recaps? Because I know they would be flattered.
