The Miss America pageant was last night, and while we’ll get to the gowns eventually, let’s begin with highlights from the shoe parade. Yes, apparently there is a motorcade through Atlantic City in which each girl displays an outfit — and specifically some custom footwear — in the spirit of her home state. Because nothing says “We’re The Classy Pageant” like asking your girls to drive around town with their leg(s) in the air.
