This looked MUCH better on TV than it does in still photos:
On TV, it somehow felt more 70s Key Party Chic and less Holy Crap I’m Wearing Something Literally The Same Color As My Skin And Boy Is That Kind of Creepy. I suspect the flashbulbs are washing it out in a way the TV cameras did not, which is a shame, because I actually really liked it Sunday. And you KNOW how I feel about the nude/beige/cream/colorless thing that’s been happening lately (reminder: OVER IT). It helps that I think this darker brown color is really good on her — and whoever did her extensions tonight did a nice job keeping them beachy and relaxed. I just wish the whole thing had translated.
And I have a question:
Did we know about that tattoo?

I liked it until I saw the back. I can’t put my finger on it, but I don’t think it’s doing her any favors there. I think it would have been better if the center of the back was open and the sides covered up.
I agree, I think she is pretty and thin, but the back of that dress calls for some/more muscle tone, not just thinness, in my humble opinion

I’m actually not a fan of the darker hair, or at least parted like that and with the beige dress.
I’m glad to see that I am not the only one that’s not a fan of her darker hair or the extensions. It was too much for me. The dress was just ok. I wasn’t blown away. I felt like the whole thing (hair & dress) made her look long and not in a good way. Like, a big droopy droop.

I would have totally voted that I hated it, except when I saw her during the telecast I commented how pretty she looked, so I think this is a case where the picture doesn’t do her justice.
I don’t like it & I’m tired of her doing the same boring thing on the Red Carpet! This dress looks exactly like a brown one she wore last year and I didn’t like it either! And, I don’t like her hair that dark! FUG!!!

It’s like we just found out Shirley Temple was a secret freak. I’m a touch disturbed by the goth hair, the appearance of no undergarments and the hidden tattoo. I mean, does that girl keep her bra on during film sex with Jon Hamm? Can’t. process.
I also felt this looked much better live. I also liked it better before I saw the back, sadly.

Now see…. HERE is a dress that can handle beachy hair. I just wish it had more color…..but it seems to be fitting for her! I like when women pick a dress that they wear instead of the other way around.
Yes I knew about that tattoo, it was kind of visible in her Harper’s Bazaar spread last year for Bridesmaids. I forget what it says but I remember it being vaguely inspirational… Anyway, I feel like this whole look is her about to do a skit on SNL where she’s a cool 70′s mom fetching a bong for her child’s high school orgy party… Can’t say that’s a good look in REAL life.
The design is great on her, but the fabric needs to be a color. She wore a similar cut in a chocolatey color for the Emmys and it looked really nice on her.
I cannot sign off on this Wiigwam, but I am willing to smoke a peace pipe with her.

I’m pretty eeeehhhhhh on the front but the back looks like she’s romping around in fancy shmancy satin/silk overalls… without the requisite shirt underneath. If the only way to save your life or that of someone else is to wear overalls, then wear overalls. BUT never never never without the shirt, preferably collared, underneath.
I wish it was in a color, but I think the back is pretty sexy & I like it overall.
the cut is really nice. Simple & sexy but it need colour!! although I just think of her as the bridesmaids character and that makes me not care for her! God that character was annoying!

I hate this Silence of the Lambs clothes made from skin trend. I would probably loved this dress in a purple, orange or a print. Anything!
The hair is too dark with everything else looking so fair – she needed stronger makeup (bold lip!)

The color I can keep, because I don’t think a pastel, jewel tone, or even print can save this. No, not even lame’. It looks so nightgown-y and casual it verges on sloppy, and I really thought it was a jumpsuit.
I love the cut of the dress but wish it were a different color. Just tell me… does her hair look like a wig to anybody else? That hair color is terrible on her, and it’s styled in such a way that makes it look like it’s floating above her scalp, and not in a good way.
I thought she looked okay from the front, but then I saw the back. While I like the tattoo placement, I am REALLY tired of the visible underwear thing. Why is it fashionable again?
OH. I forgot to add that this especially bothers me because I LOVE Kristen Wiig. She is a comedic genius and the best person on SNL. Hands down. She should dress so much better than this. Unless the thong display is for jokes?
Judging only from these pictures, and not the way Ms. Wiig may have looked in motion, there is absolutely nothing I like here: not the hairstyle, hair color, dress style, dress color, makeup, jewelry…. all fail.
