Judging from that first photo, did he had a browlift in his early career. His left (my left, his right) eyebrow is suddenly arching in picture 5/6 and is eyes seem bigger too.

Interesting, looking back at all of Becks’ hair choices. I didn’t realize that many male hair trends of the last decade (including the lack of hair/buzz cut) can be traced to him. And clothing trends, too, apparently, considering the half-tucked shirt.

Any (dubious) element of hotness goes out the window for me when he opens his mouth and speaks. Ugh, that whiny, wimpy voice, I think he’s the only Brit in the history of the world whose accent evokes nails on a chalkboard.

Can’t believe you omitted the cornrows. The fauxhawk. The samurai ponytail. He could get away with stuff that would have destroyed another man’s reputation! And in that last photo, I finally realized what Victoria’s wedding outfit reminded me of. She looks like a stewardess from the coffee, tea or me era – one who’s been knocked up by that dashing pilot and of course fired, but refuses to give up her little hat.
Yum! Though I do think that Posh needs to lay off the plastic surgery — she’s starting to look awfully pinched.

Oh Fug Girls, I love you so. Thank you for reminding me why I was utterly OBSESSED with Becks for a period starting around the 2002 World Cup and ending when he came to America. To add to the clamor of commenters above asking where some of his classic looks are – I wish you’d posted some of his wedding pictures! There is this UTTERLY ADORABLE one where he and Victoria are posing with Brooklyn between them. Posh is looking all scowly and Posh, Brooklyn… well, looks like the baby that he was, but Becks is beaming and beside himself with dazzling joy. It’s one of my favorite pictures of him.
That said… I really wish he would stop getting tattoos.
And I LIKE a tatted-up guy, but there’s something about Becks’ that are just trashy. Blech.

I can’t help it, my love of David Beckham started with the crazy long hair, which he first wore with a headband (including one of those girly zig-zag headbands) and then the wack samurai ponytail. It was so nuts that I appreciated it — I think that was also the era in which he wore a sarong out in public.
So the long hair will always hold a special place in my heart.

He has had certain facial hair issues, and I’ve always found his head suits to be bad choices. Still the hotness shines through.
You’ve got to admit, even though Posh’s lime green sequined dress is awfully… mermaidy, she looks great with that long hair. I wish she’d lose the carefully cultivated severity, because she actually seems to have a decent personality but she always looks so sour and dour.
Damn. I looked at one of the pictures a weird way, and he was smirking or something, and I saw CMM. Squinting at me. And now I can’t unsee it. That’s unfortunate.
