I first saw this dress on Micaela Erlanger’s Instagram, and it seemed so great in motion, and under the flash of the lights. It’s possible that a still photo was never going to live up to what I imagined it was going to be, as I watched this flicker past on my iPhone while I sat on the sofa watching Survivor and eating Cheez-Its for dinner. But! I still think it’s pretty great:
Never will I get on board with the matching shoes that she seems to love so much — which is saying something, because I am pretty sure Lupita could sell me basically anything else, up to and including a case of space heaters in the middle of this Los Angeles heatwave. But other than that, as is almost always the case: Basically pretty great.
