Some of what Ib Kamara did with Off White this season is bright and funky, and then… there’s a pair of jeans that’s 80 percent fringe, or sweatshirts stamped with ASK LEGAL, which is the name of the collection and something I have not actually seen explained?!? It feels like a TV producer getting snarky with network notes. Regardless, it’s a breezy and bright flipbook, with just enough stuff to confound you as to make you wonder if it might actually work at the VMAs.
