It feels so WEIRD to see her in open-toed, strappy (!) slightly raised (!) glittery (!) heels!! Like the world is upside down. I don’t know how to feel.
Also, though I do NOT agree with a recent Daily Mail article that she should give herself a Diana haircut… it seemed like this would have been one of the gowns to go half-up, half-down at least for. With the high neck, and her hair so much over her shoulders, it seemed a little offbalance. But these are nitpicks from a big fan.
Wow. I love everything about this. And I have been spending the last two hours checking shoes on the internet because I need some fancy ones for work (lots of receptions and such stuff). I want these so bad. And I love her dress. Only tiny bit flaw (which is a bit problematic since it is on her face): she should tone down the make-up.
I think her makeup is just fine. Looks like this was a formal, evening event, which means more makeup is ok. Plus, with all those flashbulbs, she just can’t win. If she went with less makeup, she would look washed out.
Pippa isn’t going to be a problem. I predict Pippa will marry MAJOR money, and possibly a title.
(She will have an incredibly messy divorce, though.)

Damn. She is just redonk beautiful. Great feet–she must be pleased she got a chance to show them off. And that dress looks amazing on her–and steals a little of Pippa’s Maid of Honor thunder as well.
I heard on the news this morning that there are rumors that Pippa is moving to NYC. That would be HILARIOUS. I can’t wait.

This might be my favorite look of hers so far: elegant, sexy, and – my god – those shoes!
I just love her. And I love that she doesn’t look like a princess, and I mean that in the best way possible. She is relatable and casual and seems to truly, truly enjoy herself.
She looks amazing. Those shoes are incredible. I dig the sister wifey style with the slit and the hot shoes but am I the only one who thinks the dress is a smidge too big for her in the hip area- she looks to be swimming.
She looks pretty as usual. I’m glad she wore those shoes to spice it up a little. She can look a little boring at times. Lovely, but boring.

As soon as I saw the glittery Jimmy Choos I know it was only a matter of hours before this would be posted here. YAY! Love the sparkly strappy sandal and best all– no hose! Free toes! She looks fab. The slit makes it sexy, while the long sleeves keep it elegant. My only complaint is that maybe this needed a belt or some sort of embellishment to break up the plainness, but she looks freaking gorgeous. The Duchess always hits a home run with her evening wear.
I love her SO much and I can’t even explain why.
Maybe I love her because I feel like, once she births the heir to the Only Way is Essex, she will start eating loads and get curvy and then get all Ashley Judd/J-Lo-Hew and tell everyone to SOD OFF while Black Angus Burger juices are dripping down her hands.
Has anyone else noticed how she ALWAYS does that “tucking her hair behind her ear to show off her engagement ring” thing? Hell, guess I’d do the same if I had a great big sapphire on my ring finger!

1) I hate feet – even princess feet.
2) For the love of all things royal, can someone PLEASE teach her how to put on eyeliner!!! She is too gorgeous for that makeup job to be tolerated a minute longer.

Just a side note. When I lived in the UK posh gels like Catherine here would never wear pantyhose, they wore stockings with garter belts.

Ordinarily I think that this woman can do no wrong, but I don’t love this dress. I think it’s too sister-wifey, and I think it’s a bit too big for her. And oh my GOD somebody needs to stage an eyeliner intervention. That ‘all around the eye’ look makes a woman’s eyes look smaller. It’s not good.
I love this!! The feet have been freed! I’m sure this is a limited seasonal change only but there is hope that the tights will not make regular appearances until Autumn!

In regards to Pippa, it seems that the Queens of England have to have a sister like that. Catherine will have Pippa, the current Queen had Princess Margaret, Queen Elizabeth the first had Mary, Queen of Scots… I’m sure there were others.
Sorry to be pedantic, but Mary, Queen of Scots wasn’t Elizabeth I’s sister. She was a cousin. The Mary you might be thinking of was Elizabeth’s half sister, her father’s oldest child (by his first wife, Katherine of Aragon). That Mary wasn’t a hell-raiser in the Mary, Queen of Scots/Pippa model: she was a fanatical Catholic who earned herself the nickname ‘Bloody Mary’ while on the throne, because of her gruesome attempts to single-handedly reverse the Reformation by burning a lot of Protestants.
I definitely agree that Pippa has the potential to be this generation’s Princess Margaret.

She’s really pretty and charming, no doubt… I adored the Choos until I saw they were covered in glitter… They’re still beautiful in shape, but I would have preferred silver… that’s it. A piece of neck jewellery, a more creative approach to hair and a lighter kohl job would have done the whole trick.
